I donât usually leave reviews, but I felt future guests should be aware. The house was a good size and generally clean, but several issues affected our stay. The air conditioning only worked in part of the house, making some rooms too hot to sleep inâsome guests even left early. The hot tub had green buildup, and the BBQ was full of mouse droppings with a mouse still insideâboth were unusable and clearly not maintained.Smaller issues included a faulty front door lock and a multiple doors that kept coming off their track.I contacted the host several times, but she wasnât helpful and dismissed my concerns, blaming past guests instead of addressing the problems. She insisted the issues werenât possible, claiming the property was regularly cleaned and maintained, which made it clear she didnât believe me. Regardless, these problems should have been resolved before our arrival or addressed during our stay once reported.
This was one of the best properties weâve stayed at! Host was responsive, who went above and beyond to make our stay go well. The property itself was gorgeous and had incredible access to the ocean. Would overall highly recommend it.
The place was very clean, nicely located for what we were doing, and communication with Corinne was easy.
Pros:
*Nice Oceanfront view
*Big house, can accommodate a large group or 2 families easily.
*Property was well maintained, grass was cut, there was firewood on site (might have been left over from the previous renter)
*Bidet in the ensuite bathroom
*Hot tub was clean and ready to use
*Lots of bathrooms! We were 3 women, all had our own.
Cons:
*Extremely warm in the house when we checked in. It was a heat wave but it would have been nice to have a cool house to walk into after a long day of traveling... it took several hours to cool down because it's not a central air system, it's 3 wall unit ac which don't circulate the air very well. The upstairs bedrooms were unusable the first night, it was 42 degrees in one bedroom. Even after a full night and day of ac and opening windows, the upstairs bedrooms were still at 24 degrees the second night, which is still too warm to sleep.
*No Salt for cooking was provided, but there was pepper.
*The fridge in one of the kitchens was not very cold. We had to use the other fridge, which could have been cooler too.
*The lawn chairs weren't outside, we had to find them in the garage and get them out ourselves.
*Neighbors are very close and there is no privacy.
*If you're planning to make a fire at night, beware of the mosquitoes. It's bad, but the view makes up for it.
Overall a great place to stay, we loved our vacation!
The pictures don't really do it justice as we were able to fit 7 adults and 2 children very very comfortably for this fantastic stay. The 2 full kitchens came quite in handy to cook for the large group. The hot tub was quite useful as we had overcast days which weren't great for the beach. The view of the water was fantastic. Overall had a 10 out 0f 10 stay
We had family and friends in for a wedding in Moncton, and we loved this house, it was large enough that we had our own space, and backyard was amazing. We enjoyed coffee on the porch watching the sun rise over the water each morning. We cooked Smores over the fire as we listended to the wave crush. And i you really like to get up early you can watch the sun rise over the water, breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this is if you wanted to get away from it all, and relax. but you're still only 7 miles from a town.
