Rustic log cabin with large loft 3 total bedrooms rustic log railings
Nicely kept rustic log cabin on Devil Track lake just minutes from the town of Grand Marais. High speed wireless internet and smart tv make your stay ez to stay in touch with the rest of the world(if wanted). Various animal mounts and antiques make for good conversation while nestled in the cottage for the evening. Full kitchen for cooking with a charcoal grill for grilling. Beautiful lake views and nice dock to enjoy sunsets.
Fantastic location and house-- lots to do on the water and in Ely and beyond. Can be tough to find the first time as the road address didn't match up to the listed one-- but you can figure out which one it is. Highly recommend.
We loved the coziness of the cabin and all the activities the lake provided. We rented a boat for the week from Skyport lodge so we could fish and take boat rides. So close to Grand Maria made going to town a breeze.
Great location for our family summer vacation! House was clean and had so many added amenities. The dock was great for fishing and boating. Box fans were great in the bedrooms as it was warm during day, and it helped cool off at night. Jeff was quick to respond to any questions. The house was perfect for our family of 7, the only challenge was 1 bathroom. Great location, as easy to get to town, or out for a hike, golf or fishing. We will be back!
We had a great stay at Jeffâs cabin. He was very responsive to anything we needed and made sure we were taken care of. About 30 min from Lutsen Mountain where we spent our days.
We had a wonderful time at Jeffâs cabin. It is rustic, simple, peaceful, comfortable, intimate and has all you would need. The location on the Gunflint not too far from Grand Marais and not too far from accessing the BWCAW is convenient, too. We hope to return. Thank you, Jeff!
My wife and I come up every year for the fall colors and stayed the first week of October. The property is wonderful and a short driver to Grand Marais which made it very convenient. The cabin is quite large but we only utilized the first floor which was very comfortable. We were quite pleased with the bed in the downstairs bedroom, quite comfy.
We loved the cabin decor which was very rustic, it really gives you that cabin feel, just what we were looking forward to. We'll certainly try again in the future...thanks for the hospitality from Jeff we really appreciated it.
My focus for this vacation was to spend time with family and to hopefully see the northern lights. This property is a beautiful location and on my 63rd birthday I actually did see the northern lights. The property was listed as being wheelchair accessible which is important to my family because my brother has ALS. The property is actually not wheelchair accessible but with talking to Jeff the owner we were able to make a few adjustments and have a good time. The location is excellent for seeing northern lights as the property faces north over devil track Lake. We may have to try it out next year after Jeff said he will make some improvements. All in all a good time!
My girlfriend Dale and I spent a week at this property. This was our second time here. Great week. We boated, fished off the dock, climbed Eagle Mountain, and sailed on the Hjordis. Great place.
We needed a place to stay for my wife, two adult kids and their significant others to attend a wedding in Grand Marais. We found the location close enough to GM and very comfortable for the six of us. The place would sleep more comfortably.
A beautiful place and property.
We spent an amazing week at this peaceful cabin! The lake was beautiful and calming as were the sunsets that we watched as a family every night.
Lots of fishing off the dock! Caught several bass and a walleye or two.
Beds were really comfortable.
Very close to Grand Marais. We did lots of hiking and sightseeing. Saw some incredible waterfalls too!
Towards the end of the week the temps were in the mid to upper 80âs. It did get pretty warm and humid at night without air conditioning. However we would absolutely go to this cabin again and also recommend it to anyone!
Thank you for sharing it with us!!!
My husband and I had a really great stay for the second half of our honeymoon up on the North Shore. The cabin is very spacious and extremely clean. All new appliances and beautiful kitchen. Living room has a large TV and is actually comfortable to sit and relax in. We heard loons at night and even saw the northern lights one night.
The only thing for future renters to be aware of is the house has no marker on it or at the end of the drive, which is long and shared with another house. Not sure why, must be some reason, but make sure you remember what the cabin looks like! Also, the upstairs bedrooms don't have doors, so probably fine for a family but might be awkward if staying with friends.
Overall, a really great place and we're so happy we got to stay here for a few nights!
Had an awesome stay at this fabulous log cabin on the wooded lakefront in northern Minnesota. Had great time downhill skiing at Lutsen and cross country skiing & winter hiking at Pincushion Mountain. Grand Marais was very cool!
This cabin was such a great MEA retreat for our family. It was very clean, had everything we needed (could have used one more bathroom), cool rustic decor and was super cozy! The location was ideal with it being located close to town, yet away from the tourists (ha!). The lake setting was gorgeous and fun to be able to walk out onto the dock even in the cold temps. Jeff was very responsive to all of our questions and we truly felt at home in his place! Would highly recommend this rental!
