A true gem in the heart of the Kastro. We only stayed one night but could have stayed a week. The property, whose foundation dates to the 15th Century and was originally owned by the church, has been meticulously restored. The room was an oasis of peace. The rooftop terrace has stunning views. We will return one day.

Loved our castle stay

It’s in a castle! Andreas was the most gracious and welcoming host. The room is spacious and equipped with a coffee machine, fridge and even washer/dryer. There is also a rooftop where we enjoyed wine and sunset 🙂

An Impeccable Stay at Katharsis Retreat! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Katharsis Retreat in Naxos, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was truly exceptional. The host and property owner, Andreas, was incredibly thoughtful, communicative, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I've traveled extensively, and it's rare to find a host who puts so much heart into making their guests feel completely at home. The retreat itself is a remarkable space. Built in the 15th century, it has the enchanting feel of a modern cave dwelling, blending history with contemporary comfort. The architecture is *stunning*, and it was exactly what I was looking for—a place that felt both nostalgic and traditional. The location is also perfect. It's situated in Polis, offering a peaceful escape while still being conveniently close to the main town with its high selection of great restaurants and local shops. Katharsis Retreat is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience. The combination of Andreas' genuine hospitality and the unique beauty of the hotel made for an unforgettable trip. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind stay in Naxos, this is definitely the place to go!! 10/10!!!

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das antike Zimmer war wunderschön und sehr geräumig, mit einer besonderen historischen Atmosphäre. Alles war makellos sauber. Die Gastgeber sind eine sehr hilfsbereite Familie. Das Highlight war die Dachterrasse mit einer wirklich atemberaubenden Aussicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
