The grounds, pool area, and common areas were beautiful, offering a wonderful and cozy view. The food was was also quite good. The room we were assigned was long in need of repairs and upkeep. It had only two small windows for a rather spacious area, and three bedrooms, such that it felt very much like we were stuck in a cave. The furniture was stained, the shower head was coming apart, the very dated kitchen area was in need of a refresh, and there was an ant problem in the room. When mentioning to the front desk the issue of the ants, they looked at us and simply said “and why would that be?” The other rooms (from what little I could see) appeared to be in better shape, and provided more windows /natural lighting. The owners and staff were generally congenial, though somewhat ambivalent to the traveler experience.

Such a beautiful property. We loved our stay! Family run business with the warmest staff, so accommodating. Location felt private and quiet but still walking distance to Mykonos town. Breakfast was amazing and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Even allowing us to store our luggage and stay on premises with use of pool and showers after check out. Would recommend this property and stay here again.

Great pool and facilities! Yum breakfast and great staff! Floor in the room was quite dusty but it is very windy in Mykonos and dust must come in very easily. Great stay!

The property owners are so kind and helpful and welcoming. We immediately felt at home. Our room was the perfect size, incredibly clean, and so quiet. The pool and restaurant have an amazing view of Chora and the water, and breakfast was free, filling, and DELICIOUS! We were easily able to walk down to Chora (although it was HOT!!!) and even made it back up the many stairs. :-)

My husband and I stayed here as a part of our honeymoon after our wedding in Santorini and it was lovely. The room was very cool and luxurious and the location was away from the hustle and bustle, making for a relaxing refuge at the end of the day. The owners are so hospitable and friendly and treat you as guests in their own home. My husband accidentally forgot his wedding tuxedo in the room when we left and one of the owners even drove back to the ferry port after dropping us off to hunt us down and return it! The sweet cats and dogs that live on the property add to the experience as well. Note that transportation is available to and from the ferry port, which is not widely advertised on booking sites. We so appreciated everything about our stay and would definitely stay here again if we visit Mykonos in the future.

Aletro is family owned and operated, and they truly extend that idea of "family" to include their guests. Effie, her husband, and daughter Goldie made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Complimentary pickup and drop off at the port saved us on the expense and stress of arranging our own transportation, and they provided us with excellent recommendations on what to see and do, places to eat, etc. Goldie made a fantastic restaurant recommendation and reserved a table for us that helped make my friend's birthday celebration truly memorable. She even got him a cake to make his celebration extra special! Coupled with the friendly hospitality is the beautiful property and facilities. Beautifully designed and landscaped, impeccably maintained, and perched high above Mykonos Town, providing spectacular views of the ocean and port. I highly recommend Aletro for anyone looking for a great hotel away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to take advantage of all that the island offers.

Absolutely stunning! Effie and the rest of the staff were all lovely and couldn’t do anymore for us if they tried. The Hotel itself is beautiful and has an unreal view over Mykonos- we didn’t want to leave!

Wonderful place to stay for your honeymoon! My wife and I stay here and we’re amazed by the breathtaking views. The breakfast included every morning was delicious and the staff were very responsive and helpful. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from Mykonos town which was perfect for my wife and I who enjoyed the beautiful walk every day to stay active. Would highly recommend Aletro Cottages for your stay in Mykonos!

Excellent stay at Aletro Cottage House

Lovely surroundings, great hosts and great facilities made our stay in Mykonos extra special. We were celebrating a friends birthday and we had to manoeuvre 9 people around from different locations. All the staff at Aletro were so helpful and got us taxis and hire cars as we needed. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off. The room we stayed in was lovely, shower gel, soap, shampoo and conditioner (lovely products) were provided along with a bottle of water to keep us going. The pool area is lovely and the bar and snack menu were great and good value (for Mykonos) whilst the property is a walk from town (steep hills) we found it a welcome relief from the busy Mykonos streets! The property has a great history, it’s been in the current owners family for many years and they have restored the former farm keeping its quirky features but adding mod cons!!
