love the Ambrosia Hotel

This is the second time I have stayed at the Ambrosia Hotel in Malia, Crete and was offered a mountain view which is the best side as sea view is a little obscured by buildings and can be a little noisy with transfer buses and quads. I love staying at this hotel, Maria and Kostas are very accommodating and will do their very best to make sure your stay is comfortable at all times. They speak a little in several languages so communication is excellent for anyone that stays at The Ambrosia Hotel. If you prefer to stay by the pool, Maria & Phillip are on hand all the time for meals and drinks and will even bring them to your sunbeds which are free. If you prefer to sit at the bar there is never a dull moment as their is always laughs with the conversation. The beach is a short walk from the hotel, the sand & sea is beautiful and you can walk a good way into the sea. If you like nightclubs then there is Beach Road which is a strip of clubs. There are lots of restaurants locally to eat and all are in a short walking distance.

Remote, peaceful but still close to strip & beach

This hotel is a nice family run place and the staff are always accommodating & friendly. We stayed here for 10 days and ate at the pool bar a few times, the food is good and cheap. Shout out to Phil for the figs!

Aucune isolation, claquement des portes, odeur peu agréable dans la salle de bain, coupure d'eau. L'hÎtel mérite une sacrée rénovation. C'était tellement insupportable que aprÚs la deuxiÚme nuit, nous avons chercher un autre hÎtel. Je ne recommande pas du tout cet hÎtel pour les familles.

allez ailleurs si possible

Chambre sur la rue trĂšs bruyante, pas de personnel Ă  la rĂ©ception, ni lors de mon appel tĂ©lĂ©phonique pour avoir de l'aide pour trouver l'hĂŽtel (trĂšs mal indiquĂ© dans une jungle d'hĂ©bergements), ni Ă  mon arrivĂ©e (il a fallu que je cherche dans les couloirs alors que le rĂ©ceptionniste se reposait prĂšs de la piscine !!!!). Salle de bain en Ă©tat pitoyable, chasse d'eau qui se remplit sans arrĂȘt et finit par dĂ©border, digne d'une caricature. Vaut Ă  peine les 25 euros payĂ©s. Seul bon point, le petit dĂ©jeuner face Ă  la piscine, ....Ă  payer en supplĂ©ment, comme la clim.

Hotel bien situé mais insalubre.

Nous sommes arrivĂ©s la nuit. Personne pour nous recevoir. La chambre ne correspondait pas Ă  ce que nous avions reservĂ©. Ce qu’on peut appelĂ© «salle de bain » etait tout simplement horrible. Elle etait sale, pleine de moisissures sur les murs, avec une fenetre qui ne ferme pas et donne sur le balcon de quelqu’un d’autre. Affreux. La climatisation est en supplement de 7 euros par jour : ce n’est pas specifiĂ©. Le coffre est en supplement Ă  10 euros. La piscine n’est pas propre bien qu’elle soit agreable puisque personne n’y va. Ne prennez pas cet hotel pour esperer vous y detendre. La literie est de tres mauvaise qualitĂ© et vous dormez dans de tous petits lits. La seule chose positive c’est qu’il est situĂ© pas tres loin de la ville de malia.

HĂŽtel simple, trĂšs proche plage et restos

HĂŽtel simple tenu par des gens simples. Ils parlent anglais. AgrĂ©able piscine avec bar oĂč il est possible de prendre un petit dĂ©jeuner et des boissons mais le mieux pour le mĂȘme prix est d'aller prendre le petit dejeuner au bord de la mer. La douche nous a complĂštement deçue car on mettait de l'eau de partout (ni rideau ni Ă©tanchĂ©itĂ©). Sinon il y avait un frigo oĂč on pouvait stocker nos bouteilles d'eau ! Le bus est un peu Ă©loignĂ© mais pas cher environ 4€ le trajet. Nous avons prĂ©fĂ©rĂ© louer un scooter pour ĂȘtre plus libres et vraiment nous ne regrettons pas nos balades Ă  travers les petits villages et Ă  travers les campagnes et les oliviers ! Les routes sont en mauvais Ă©tat donc prudence car dangereux ! Les tavernes de la rue sont toutes delicieuses ! Pour revenir Ă  la chambre pour 25€ la nuit il n'est pas possible d'ĂȘtre exigeant ! Les draps sont propres et les serviettes changĂ©es tous les 3 jours (un peu comme Ă  la maison !) le calme n'est pas au rendez-vous: quads et autres vĂ©hicules circulent toute la nuit. Les voisins de paliers ne sont pas respectueux ils parlent forts et chantent en pleine nuit... Sans parler des talons... Il n'y a pas de rĂ©ception ! La clĂ© est cachĂ©e ! Il faut tomber sur de gentilles personnes qui voudront bien vous l'indiquer ou alors appeler Maria mais son numĂ©ro est Ă  l'intĂ©rieur et quand on ne sait pas rentrer faut prier pour croiser quelqu'un !

gut, sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Gastgeberin

Gut, hat alles gepasst. :-) Gepflegte Liegewiese und gute Bar mit fairen Preisen. Eine einfachere Unterkunft, die zwar nicht mehr ganz auf dem neuesten Stand ist was man z.T. auch sieht, jedoch absolut sauber ist und mit liebe von der Besitzerfamilie betreut wird. Preis -LeistungsverhÀltnis sehr gut. Kommen gerne wieder.
