We have recently installed window blinds in the house so those who favour a sleep in over waking with the sunrise can now do so!

Wake up to ocean views at this studio style house located on a remote stretch of Victoria’s spectacular Great Ocean Road. Wade through the rock pools of the rugged coastline, wander the bush tracks of the Otway Ranges or simply become mesmerised by the flames of the wood fire. Cocooned amongst natural bushland in a secluded coastal hamlet, Grey River Beach House provides a place for your own boutique unplugged and immersive experience. Where no reception is the best reception. 
Architecturally designed and newly renovated, Grey River Beach House features ocean views from every room. Features include an open plan living space with hardwood floors, a traditional wood fireplace and glass doors that slide open onto an expansive ocean-facing deck. A large outdoor dining table and Webber BBQ are perfect for Summer time dinners. An enormous master bedroom with queen sized bed and floor to ceiling robes, also provides ocean views and deck access. A well-equipped cook’s kitchen boasts a SMEG oven with gas stovetop, stone bench tops and an adjacent dining table. Floor-to-ceiling tiling in the bathroom, laundry and mud room make returning from the beach a breeze. Bring in your surfboard, hang your wetsuit and take a hot rainwater shower - all without having to enter the main living space.

Generally, we are a pet-free house. However, if you have a small dog, please contact us to discuss before you book.

Be prepared to unplug and have a digital detox, the house has no Wifi, no television and depending on your service provider phone reception can be limited along the Otway Coast.

Grey River Beach House is located on Victoria’s spectacular Great Ocean Road, 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne and just under 2 hours from Avalon Airport. Positioned mid way between Lorne and Apollo Bay both are half an hours spectacular drive in either direction. You will need your own car to get to Grey River (there is no public transport connection) and when you arrive there is uncovered parking on site.

I live in Wye River, 10 minutes drive away. I am always contactable during your stay but preferably between 8am - 9pm.
