1. I had the booking for 3 days. I was told at the checkin that 3rd day was overbooked and they will be moving us to hotel shelter which is of similar standard. So i agreed to that. On the third day morning they offered me hotel Mayur which is a right out substandard hotel. I looked it up and found out the fare was not matching or even in the same range. I denied to leave my room to which the manager started to say that they do not get the booking notification when its made through hotel.com. as a customer I had also called the hotel for confirmation as i was checkin in late at night. I was not notified on the same call about this blunder. I believe expedia has a tie up with hotels.com and they get the bookings through expedia. They need to resolve this issue as it causes lot of mental stress and loss of valuable time on vacation.
2. When we got into the room late at 2 a.m. the floor was full of visible amount of dust. Only 1 towel was kept for a 3 occupancy room. Water bottles needed to be asked for. Basically the room was not prepared.
Overall the experience was extremely torturous given the verbal spat of 20mins with the manager which followed by him finally agreeing to let me and my parents stay in the current room.
The staff was extremely helpful with the currency's problem when the govt. 1000 and 500 rupee notes invalid while I was there.
Restaurant is great breakfast buffet
