This beautifully remodeled three-bedroom, two-bathroom modern home is tucked off a quaint side street in the charming community of Haena. Just a short stroll to world-famous Tunnels Beach and Maniniholo dry cave, and less than a mile to the entrance of Haena State Park (please note that day passes required you can get them and more info at GoHaena), this location offers easy access to some of the top destinations on this spectacular island. Haena Place is set against towering emerald mountains and lush, cascading waterfalls.
Haena Place is the perfect vacation rental for a small family or traveling couples. The owners have recently finished a beautiful remodel and not a single attention to detail has been spared. There is a full kitchen with brand-new high-end appliances including a gas range and full-sized fridge. Enjoy Breakfast from the charming breakfast bar where you can pull up a stool while the chef in the group is cooking. The living area extends from the kitchen and there are beautiful vaulted ceilings with gorgeous exposed beams giving the room a gracious sense of space. There is also an indoor dining table that seats six, high-speed internet throughout the home, and a flat screen HD-TV to watch late night movies after a long day of adventuring.
From the living area, step out onto a covered, wrap-around lanai which offers impressive views of the mountains. It’s the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the birds sing. This home also sits at the end of a cul-de-sac giving it a peaceful sense of seclusion located in a calm and quiet neighborhood.
There are three spacious bedrooms in this home and all of them feature cold A/C. There are two master suites, both with king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. The first master-suite has direct access to the lanai and features a gorgeous walk-in shower, double vanity and separate soaking tub. The second master-suite also has an en-suite bathroom with shower. The third bedroom features two twin beds and a jack and jill bathroom.

Beautiful and very clean property located in the perfect location. We were just a short walk to the most beautiful beaches in all of Kauai! The beds were very comfortable with the most comfortable bedding and pillows. The open floor plan and furnishings were gorgeous. We loved sitting on the porch while listening to the rain. We will love to stay here again in the future.

A/c broke twice and temp in the 90’s. Host was a ghost. Very disappointed.
This property has been nicely renovated and appointed for a vacation rental. And, the location is just incredible! The main room gets really hot between noon - 7p. There is only one ceiling fan, no A/C unit and not enough of a cross breeze to cool the space. Immediately when we arrived, I called the host to ask about a portable cooling unit or some other option to cool that space. We walked into the house at 3p (after traveling for 10 hours), and it was way too warm in there. The host said he would look into it. He never called or texted back, even to check in. I rent a bunch from VRBO and in expensive areas. Overall, the rate for the house is very fair, yet the total fees for this property felt excessive. Also, the level of a detailed clean could be improved.
My family and I had a wonderful stay here for so many reasons and I would highly recommend this property to anyone! The one negative review this property has about being overpriced is just wrong - the reviewers were clearly clueless in not knowing the market (northern Kauai is the nicest and most expensive part of the island). In fact, we found this property to be a great deal for what you received:
1) Four minute walk to the beach (no, it's not right on the beach and you have to walk - but if you want a property right on the beach you will pay 2.5x to 3x more as I did plenty of research). The area of the beach the pathway lets you out on is virtually secluded and stunning. Another 4-5 minute walk left and you will be at Tunnels beach, which is well worth the walk.
2) Beautifully renovated brand new home with no expenses spared. Seriously, it was so nice it felt like it was a Four Seasons hotel. All the amenities and appliances were top of the line and the owner clearly spared no expense. This home stands out on the cul-de-sac it is located on.
3) The owner also provided so many extra amenities that were unexpected...for example, 10 high end beach chairs, 3 beach umbrellas, etc. There was also no shortage of toiletries and other items needed within the home.
4) Super quiet street. The home is one home in from the road, but as the other reviews share, it is quiet as traffic at night is non-existent in this area.
5) Great management company - we had one small issue with the dishwasher when we arrived and they immediately came that morning to fix it. They were wonderful to deal with and made the whole process seamless.
I could go on and on but as you can tell from my review, we will definitely be returning!

My family of 5 loved our trip to Hā’ena pl! The house was very comfortable, beautifully updated and clean. It came with plenty of beach toys, a great cooler back pack we used daily, beach chairs and towels. I knew we wanted to spend a lot of time at Tunnels so we chose this close property. It is just a short 5 min walk to the beach and then another 5ish minutes down to tunnels. If you go on the highway towards tunnels take your first right (next street over) you can walk down that lane and there is a beach entrance. We would definitely stay here again! We loved after dinner that we could walk right back to the beach to watch the sunset. There is an A/C unit in the main living area plus bedrooms so we stayed plenty comfortable. This house has everything you need and the kitchen is well stocked. There is only salt and pepper so be prepared to buy whatever you need if cooking. The property manager was responsive and helped with any questions we had, including accommodating a late check out! It is a little journey driving to Hanalei if you’re looking to eat out often, we loved the Opakapaka grill if you want something close. We had a trip of a lifetime and look forward to booking again.
We loved the practical layout of the house with it’s 3 bedrooms and it’s light open style modern interior. It had all the amenities. Fun artwork and thoughtful design. Location is walking distance to tunnels beach. No street noise, nice cul de sac with similar homes. Highly recommended!

We had a great time staying in Haena as it is our favorite place. The house was clean, new, well equipped but small and VERY over priced. Everyone was easy to communicate with. We did however feel very taken advantage of with how much this home was priced at considering we are very familiar with the area and have stayed in many rentals in Haena including a house one week prior with similar comps for less than 1/2 the price. The location is great everything was awesome but the price was way to high.
