A wonderful place to stay

Our family of 4 generations had an amazing time in this wonderful home. All the amenities we could need and stocked like no other vacation rental we have been in. The views from the wrap around deck is breathtaking. We saw hundreds of seals/otters playing right in front of us! The decor throughout this home is so nice in every room. We can’t wait to stay here again and again. Also Connie is an amazing host and communication with her was great.

Great Homer house

Stayed here for NYE with extended family. Property is spacious and has remarkable views. Plenty of bedding, towels, etc. The ‘play room’ was a hit with the kiddos. Access to one room was a little awkward since you had to go through another room (in summer I think outdoor access is available) but no complaints. Thank you so much Connie for a delightful stay!

Perfection

This house was beautiful, completely stocked, with a terrific view of the bay. The kitchen was a chef’s dream and allowed plenty of room for the many sous chefs. We enjoyed watching the seals and otters in the bay, majestic eagles soaring above and cute bunnies romping around the yard. S’mores were enjoyed by all at the fire pit. All photos of this property were completely accurate. Connie, the property manager was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

First Time in Homer

10 family members (3 generations) spent 11 nights at the Orca House. Lower level has 2 bedrooms and a separate game room including a family-favorite ping-pong table. Fantastic! Upper level has the remaining bedrooms and open spacious gathering area with a very well appointed kitchen. The views from the deck (snow capped mountains and seals sunning on the rocks in the bay) can't be beat. We maxed out on Halibut fishing and very much enjoyed the friendly folks and atmosphere of Homer. Orca House is a first rate property in a beautiful location. One note of caution: The nineteen steps to reach the upper main living area can be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Northern Lights were amazing

I would have never thought about seeing Northern Lights in Homer. But they were all down the bay and over the glacier across the bay. Absolutely the best I’ve seen ever (and I’ve lived in Alaska for 13 years).

Communication with Connie was excellent from the time we booked all the way through checkout. The property was everything the description said it was, very quiet and the views were amazing, This was the cleanest property I have stayed at, and will make sure anyone asking makes this a first choice if staying in Homer. Fantastic stay at the Orca House

We had a great time at the Orca House. The house is lovely with a gorgeous view. The place was very clean and the bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds. We were close to all our Homer activities. We were able to grill the halibut we caught that afternoon and had a delicious dinner. The evening was completed with a family ping pong tournament. You won’t be disappointed with the Orca House.

The house was extremely clean, roomy and furniture arrangements were wonderful. The beds were appointed beautifully with very comfortable mattresses . Really enjoyed all the little extra stockings in kitchen and bathrooms. Ie: soaps, cleaning supplies, paper products etc

Breathtaking

As a VRBO owner we are very aware of the difficulty maintaining a place that feels like home and that meets our standards. The Orca House far exceeded anything we could have imagined. As a “foodie” the kitchen was fabulous and well stocked with all of the comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable and there was an ample supply of linens for both the bedrooms and bathrooms. We really can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Orca House and can’t wait to return!
