It was easy to quickly regret this choice of stay. I haven't felt so uncomfortable in a hotel in years. Really wish we could've switched to another hotel mid way. Firstly, the hotel entrance and appearance fell so short. The carpets were absolutely disgusting and had bad odors. They need to be ripped up and put hardwood flooring down especially since its a warm climate location. The whole hotel lighting was dark, even our room. I called it a cave. It was always dark and damp in there. They provided a few tiny lamps that did nothing for the room especially since its right up against a parking garage so no natural sunlight comes through. Secondly, they had plumbing issues that cut off the water for 3 days which was a huge inconvenience and unheard of. I never experienced that ever in 30yrs of staying at hotel. Thirdly, there was absolutely no place for guests to lounge, they have 1 restaurant and to lounge they're you had to make a reservation for dining. There were very little options on the menu for people who don't eat pork or beef so we ended up going somewhere else for meals. Nothing about this hotel was convenient! I would never recommend. I just wish we choose somewhere else! It somewhat ruined my mother's first experience in Hawaii. The only good thing was the staff.

The staff were courteous. Interacted with Dom and Joey - so very friendly and helpful. The location is great! So very close to everything. Nice gym, great dining area although the staff seemed like they couldn’t handle the crowd. First morning for breakfast we were never approached at the table so we moved ourselves to the bar area. 2nd day breakfast it took a long time to get our check - we had to ask for it and we were never checked on for coffee top off. The evening entertainment is very good. The singer on 12/6 was awesome! Great singing voice - so smooth.

The fridge had a slight odor; and the restraunt had limited food options for diets (gluten/dairy free meals). Otherwise the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were accomodating. The hotel's location in proximity to shops, restraunts, buses, and the beach was super convenient.

Hidden fees and deposits ruined our honeymoon. We had to scramble to make last minute changes and itinerary cancellations to accommodate hidden and increased resort fees and deposits. Also the pool is not appealing in person.
