Once a Cattle Barn, now Spacious Luxury Accommodation!

Recently refurbished and offering spacious and interesting accommodation for either two families or large parties of friends to enjoy.

DOG OWNERS - We warmly welcome one or two well-behaved furry friends, but please do not make an instant booking if you have more than two dogs. Instead, please message us and let us know about your dog companions and we will consider whether we can accommodate. Please familiarise yourselves with our pet rules.

The Old Barn is ideally situated for a number of pursuits including walking, bird watching, beach activities, or as a base from which to explore all that the North Norfolk Coast has to offer.

The White Horse is our local village pub, recently refurbished and offering a great selection of food and drinks. They have also recently opened a bakery in the neighbouring barn! Whether you want breakfast, pastries, coffee or cakes at the bakery, or sandwiches, lunch and evening meals at the pub; they have you covered. It's also a lovely stroll to the pub and back; just far enough, but not too far if you know what we mean! We regularly stop there on our walk to the beach.

Only 2 miles from Thornham in one direction or Hunstanton in the other and 8 miles from Burnham Market. Ringstead, with the great Gin Trap Pub, is also less than a couple of miles away. Sandringham is also just a short drive away too, as is Holkham; both with a regular events and activities for the whole family.

Huntstanton has a Tesco Superstore, as well as a Sainsburys and many other interesting shops. There is also an enormous Lidl located on the coast road at Heacham, which is really good and something we use a lot. But in this day and age, it is probably just as well to get your groceries delivered by Tesco/Sainsburys and save on room for packing.

Several of the take away restaurants in Hunstanton will deliver to the Old Barn, so there isn't any need to venture out if you don't fancy it and don't fancy cooking. Our favourite curries come from The Spice Garden at Heacham and they are happy to deliver too. We collect our Chinese food from Silk Road, next to the BP Garage at Heacham. This is a very good restaurant which also caters for take aways.

When the weather isn't playing ball and you have young children to entertain, it is worth considering the Oasis centre (Swimming) at Hunstanton, or Farmer Fred's Play Barn at Heacham. Not forgetting 10 Pin Bowling at the Hunstanton Pier, arcades and Sea Life Centre (all at Hunstanton).

ELECTRIC CARS:
Due to insurance purposes, guests must never charge their car using a standard outdoor plug or an extension cable linking to a domestic plug. This is not permitted because of fire regulations regarding wiring, earthing rods and voltage restrictions; it poses a serious fire risk to standard 13 amp sockets and there is a real danger that the body of the vehicle could become live. There is no EV Charging point at the property and if you have an EV, you will need to charge it elsewhere. Use of electricity to charge cars is not included in the rental price.

Beautiful property & setting

Had a lovely stay sadly it was cut a little short due to being called back home for an emergency, however the time we was there was wonderful, area of Holme next the sea is stunning, barn accommodation was lovely spacious & clean and a very nice welcome pack on arrival. We hope to stay again next time we visit Norfolk.

Another great stay at the Barn

The friends that we stayed at The Barn with were so impressed with our stay last year that we returned for a mid-week break. A very attractive property with plenty of parking off road and a safe garden for dogs and children. The property is within easy walking distance of Holme Beach and a good pub. Other attractions within a short distance, including food shopping, restaurants and take-always.

Our third visit to The Old Barn

This is our favourite holiday property in Norfolk. It has provided us with great comfort and met all our needs. It is perfectly located for the north coast, its fine beaches, walks, good pubs and restaurants. We have stayed there on three occasions and hope to do so again. We highly recommend it.

Perfect Break and place to stay

This property was exactly 'what it said on the tin' It was clean ample space wonderful garden and place for us all to sit and the dogs loved it . We would highly recommend and will certainly be booking again we tried to book for Christmas but already gone .................. loved it

Family fun at Holme By The Sea

Great property works well for two families . Ticked all our boxes good location, easy parking , large dining table so we could all comfortably eat together. Lovely lounge area with enough seating for us all to chill after wonderful coastal walks. Garden so the kids could run around .We're hoping to come again soon !
