With a wood burner, a dedicated dog shower and a welcoming cottage garden. West Down is centrally located for all the local beaches within an easy drive.


Approached via a pedestrian walkway, entry is via the porch. Behind the stable doors is an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room with a central staircase. On one side of the room is the kitchen and dining area, complete with a tiled floor. There is a well-fitted kitchen with a dining table set to the rear. The living area has oak flooring and a feature fireplace with a wood burner, ideal for cosy evenings. The cottage has a Smart TV and there is space under the stairs for a dog basket. Upstairs is an attractive double bedroom, with exposed beams and an oak latched door. Across the landing is a modern bathroom with a three-quarter bath with a fitted shower over the bath. In addition, there is also a well-presented children's room. Opposite the cottage is an enclosed and slightly raised terrace where guests can sit and relax. The cottage also benefits from its own ‘beach’ garden with unique outside seating and this is located a few metres away down a shared path, which also leads to the community field. Sleeping a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.


In the heart of the village of West Down, this cottage is proximal to a popular 17th-century free house as well as the well-supported community village store. Close to the cottage is the community field where your four-legged friend can stretch their legs! The cottage is well located for guests looking to visit the golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe (5 miles) and Putsborough (6 miles), ideal for surfers and beach lovers with rolling, unbroken surf and views out towards Lundy. The high moors, deep valleys and sparkling rivers of Exmoor National Park (10 miles) beckon for other memorable days out. The harbour town of Ilfracombe (4.5 miles) with Damien Hirst’s bronze sculpture Verity, and many individual shops, cafes and restaurants is nearby and well worth a visit too.
