Stylish, spacious lodge with panoramic views, an ideal base for Loch Ness
"Torran View Lodge" is situated in an elevated position near Loch Ness, with fantastic views over the village of Drumnadrochit, Glen Coiltie and the mountains behind it. We are a rural location with a working sheep farm nearby and easy access for walkers onto the heather-covered hills behind the property. The lodge is a short drive along a farm track from the tarmac road.
Torran View Lodge is light, airy, spacious and modern. An open plan kitchen/dining/living area leads to both bedrooms, each with en suite walk-in shower and toilet. Beds are UK king size. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and kettle, as well as a good selection of cooking pans, utensils, glassware and crockery (including cafetiĂšre and teapot). There is a TV and DVD player (including a selection of DVDs). A thermostat controls temperature. From the chairs and table on the balcony you can enjoy the stunning view. You can also use a large picnic table next to the pond behind the lodge. There is ramp access for wheelchairs or strollers.
We welcome children. Please inform us ahead of time and, if need be, we can set up crib, travel cot or rollaway bed, either in the main bedrooms or in the living room.
Our outdoor space is open, a bit wild and offers tremendous views and a surprising amount of sunshine given our location!
It is the perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy watching the weather roll across the landscape or get straight out into the wilderness from the doorstep. We hope you can sit back, unwind and enjoy your stay in our beautiful surroundings.
Three other thingsâŠ
1. As a rural location, mobile signal and WiFi can be weak and intermittent.
2. The lodge is situated in four acres of land, shared with the owners' home and a second holiday let, with a large, sloping lawn and some wilder areas, all of which you are welcome to enjoy. There is a small pond and an accessible stream that runs along one side of the property. There are also wood-stores around the property and large log-piles. All this provides a great place for children to explore. But we ask that parents please remain aware of the potential dangers and supervise their children at all times. In places, there is a steep drop down to the stream, and there is no fence.
3. We are next to a sheep farm with easy access to the hillside and would ask that walkers respect the countryside code (for example, leaving all gates as you find them and being sensitive to livestock, especially during lambing season).
Richard and Suzanne were excellent hosts and provided an amazing Lodge to provide a peaceful break for our family.
The lodge is really well equipped and comfortable and has amazing views. Lovely to see the deer most mornings wandering around rhe area too.
Highly recommended,

A great place to stay, with the most amazing view. We spent a week mainly walking the hills and forests locally. It was great to have a comfortable base to return to and relax in the evenings. Beers and the view, what could be better? Great place, great hosts, altogether a great week.
Words can not describe how beautiful this place is. The views are breathtaking, the property is amazing with everything you need. Hosts are so accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. We highly recommend this stay in a very beautiful picturesque part of Scotland. Thank you Richard and Suzanne for sharing your amazing holiday home đ
Fantastic property in a great location with stunning views
My husband and I had a lovely week in this cottage at the beginning of September. It is a great location with stunning views and we spent a lot of time sat out on the terrace including at night when the stars were amazing. The cottage itself is very spacious and the hosts very helpful if anything is needed. We did a brilliant walk up Meall Fuar-mhonaidh which had spectacular views and a boat trip on Lochness. Drumnadrochit is only a short walk down the hill (quite steep on the way back!) and the Loch Ness Inn Hotel did great food. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Fabulous views from the front of the property towards the hills south of Loch Ness make a break at this property very special. The house has everything you could want and Richard and Suzanne were perfect hosts, on hand and never intrusive.
Would definitely recommend and we'll be back for a return visit.
Many thanks. Trevor, Sam, Goron and Carolyn
Quality, spotlessly clean in a beautiful location. Richard and Suzanne were the perfect hosts. BBQ & WiFi were an added bonus. Had a fantastic week in the stunning surroundings and enjoyed the daily visit from the deers. Hope to be back soon.
We spent 5 days at Torran View and every aspect of our stay there was perfect. Richard showed us around when we first got there and we immediately felt welcomed. The lovely bottle of red certainly helped!
The view from the property and itâs large French windows is breath-taking. We enjoyed sitting outside with a hot cuppa in the morning and a glass of wine on the evening. A big thanks to Richard and Suzanne. We are certainly coming back!!
This house not only comes with everything you might need but the views are indescribable. The location is ideal for a retreat away from the city or a perfect place to end an extended vacation. The host is kind, gracious and easily accessible. We fully intend on staying here whenever we are in town.
