Unique 1 Bedroom Apartment in the heart of downtown Jonesborough
Enjoy your stay in the oldest town in TN in this unique apartment built in the 1850's. This amazing apartment is within walking distance to everything Jonesborough has to offer. Close to ETSU and Johnson City. Fully furnished and ready for your visit!
A clean, well-apportioned and comfortable apartment. Just four doors down from the Story-telling Center and on the historic Main Street. It was wonderful to just step off the street and into your home away from home. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay in this very sweet apartment! The size was perfect for two. Staying above one of the stores on Main Street added to our wonderful experience in this quaint, friendly town. There is a flight of stairs that you must climb to get to the apartment. It was quiet except for an occasional train whistle (which we didnât mind). The bed was super soft. We walked to most of the things we wanted to do (International storytelling center, farmerâs market, museums, McKinney Center, shopping and restaurants). Parking was either on Main Street or in a large lot behind the court house. A starter supply of items (shampoo, bath soap, dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper) was supplied. There was a coffee pot and a Keurig (bring your own coffee) or visit the Corner Cup a short distance from apartment for a delicious cup of coffee. The bath towels were clean but will need to be updated. Overall, a fabulous stay!
Our Thanksgiving weekend was so much fun in Jonesborough! The town was bursting with holiday heart and festivities on âBlack Fridayâ and âSmall Business Saturdayâ - and not just at Gabrielâs Christmas shop! The apartment above Gabrielâs Christmas shop was perfectly located for taking in the quaintness of the oldest city in Tennessee. The apartment was comfortable for the two of us, and large enough to host a gathering of extended family for a few hours of game playing. The kitchen was kind of sparsely stocked, even for 2 people, but definitely lacking if extra guests/visitors are present. Stop at a grocerâs on your way in. No coffee (Keurig and auto-drip coffeemakers) or staples to get your first morning started.***The bed was really soft and that can be game changer (or ruin an otherwise perfect stay) for someone with a sensitive back.
In the past we have stayed in traditional hotels. They have gotten so expensive. I decided to give the VRBO way a try. Worked out well. Found a great place in a great location for us. Clean, easy to get to. Better then a hotel. I'll be a VRBO going forward.
We had a wonderful long weekend staying at this property! The apartment is much bigger than the pictures show. We were pleasantly surprised. The apartment was so clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again.
My only feedback would be to replace the bed. It is small and not very comfortable, but certainly not the worst we have slept in
We had a great âInternational Storyteller Festivalâ weekend in Jonesborough, TN! The apartment is in a perfect locationâŠevents were just a few-minutes walk away and it was very quiet at night as it is in the historic section which was blocked off all weekend. Parking was somewhat challenging, but not insurmountable. Must be able to climb up and down 23 steep steps. We highly recommend the host send renters check-in information much sooner. We were less than 2 hours out when we requested the information. Coffee maker uses K-cups! Beautiful town!
This apartment was definitely in a great location for the many events the town has. Parking was not as convenient, but it wasn't terrible. Perhaps we'd have felt differently if the weather was not so nice. Overall, it was good for our needs.
Jonesborough is a great place to visit and this property was perfect. We walked the town, enjoyed Music on the Square, hit Corner Cup 4 times in 3 days, lunch at the cafe, and a dinner at the Texas Burrito. I would also recommend a run around town early in the morning or later in the day. Also, paddleboarding and hiking at Warrior's Path State Park are must do's.
Thanks for the perfect setting to unwind.
We loved our long weekend! Wonderful place to stay. We walked all day everywhere on Saturday! Went to Johnson City on Sunday. Place was very nice and clean and would recommend!
Just as pictured in the listing and Jonesborough is straight out of a Hallmark movie. We were in TN for a weeklong softball tournament and used this as our home base. It had everything we needed and was a perfect distance to the ball fields. It had plenty of shops, exploring, dining, and activities for down time. Linzi was quick to respond to questions and the downstairs shopkeeper was so friendly! Loved the local evening activities (music, story telling, food trucks, movies, geocaching, trails, etc). Will definitely return to Jonesborough and to this darling VRBO rental!
A unique historic apartment in a great location for walking to shops and restaurants in Jonesborough.
Would highly recommend that the owner provide some coffee in the kitchen. This is a huge deal to coffee drinkers. We had to walk the streets looking for a place that was open on a Sunday morning to get a cup of coffee.
Could not ask for a better location if you want to experience downtown Jonesborough. Property owner easy to communicate with.
Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, nice sheets and towels. Pictures are a good representation of the the property. Stairs were a bit of a challenge but manageable. Would recommend.
