The house was marvellous, spacious and charming but modern too. The kitchen area was clean, with lots of quality appliances and kitchen utensils, beds were very comfortable, the showers, bath and toilets were very clean and modern and in good working order. It's in a great location with lovely views and quick access by car or foot to nearby Kirkby Stephen. The nearby stream/beck provided hours of fun for the 8 year old with us. All in all a lovely holiday experience.
It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed.
We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often.
All in all, we had a lovely weekend.
What a lovely property! Located in a pretty little village with easy access to Kirkby Stephen. Had a lovely 60th birthday weekend for my dad with family coming from Scotland and York. So a perfect meet in the middle for us all. The only blip was that I assumed that there was WiFi so only brought activities for the children that required internet access and a music system that needed WiFi. But that is honestly the only fault that we could find and in all honesty it really didnât matter. So thank you for the use of this beautiful house and we will be back again.
