The house was exactly what our family needed. We noticed on the first morning that the coffee pot had a crack in it. We notified the Brindley Beach rental company and they delivered a new pot to us in less than 24 hours. House was clean and had everything we needed. There is a hill when walking too and from the beach and only a dune to cross with no stairs which is not a negative on the house but something to be aware of. We had a positive experience with this property.
This is the message I responded back to the property manager; Hello,
I understand that if I had called the housekeeper would have came out, however I do not believe the house was cleaned in the first place. It was not a matter of the house being unclean from the previous renters; this house had not been cleaned in a very long time. My son-in-law placed his arm through a cobweb in the living room to turn off a lamp. Not only there, but there were multiple cobwebs throughout the house. It was not just unclean, it was nasty; hair all over the place, the carpets were stained, the chairs had to have towels placed in them to even sit (as the arms were sticky). It really was disgusting. Like I said, I appreciate the offer, however I feel a partial refund would be fair. Your manager should be on top of making sure all of your homes are clean and presentable. That was not the case for this home. We knew the home was outdated, er didnât mindâbut the home was nasty! I also paid for a fee twice, once with your company and once with VRBO. Please consider a partial refund. I do not mind sharing my experiences with your company with others, either way. I have been going back and forth with the property manager and my daughter took pictures of the unclean and unkept home.
This house was perfectly situated to the beach and the town of Duck. We had a great time here. Our dogs were very comfortable. Carpets were a little beat up which makes sense since they allow pets and we were really grateful to have them with us. I didnât love the outdoor cans filled w cigarette butts but I couldnât smell them. The house provided sheets bath towels and beach chairs which made packing much easier. The amenities arenât very updated but we had everything we needed.
When we arrived at 4 pm to check in we got our keys and went straight to the house. By 5 pm, when the office closes, we started to noticed how dirty the house was. Cat hair on the âcleanâ sheets, balls of hair all around the house, a couch covered in hair, dirt on the walls and doors, etc. we called the after hours line to get the house recleaned. When they finally got back to us it was almost 7pm, our kids bedtime, and the cleaners were on their way. We had to get a hotel for the night so we could put our kids to bed. The next day the sheets were cleaner and some of the hair was gone from the floor, but not all. We called to discuss reimbursement for the hotel Monday. We were told the managers meet Tuesday. We are still waiting to hear, on Sunday.
