Everest Inn HK
Well if you are looking for a low cost place to stay at HK, I recommend the Everest Inn Guest House. It is located at Tsim Sha Tsui whrebyou can get an easy access to MTR station, buses and taxi. The location is also 10 minutes away from the Harbour City Science Museum, Cultural Centre and Garden of Stars. The staffs are so nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
From the beginning it was a terrible experience! At check in the guy had an attitude and apparently didn't have anything organized. He asked if I was staying only 1 night meanwhile I booked 3 online. Everything seemed annoying to him. When we got to our room, all of the furniture was falling apart and the bathroom was disgusting. When I went to use the bathroom I found a huge cockroach! We killed it and left it under the slipper for housekeeping to see. Do you think they cleaned it? No the just kept moving the slipper from one part of the bathroom to another part everyday we were there. In the hotel hallways there was food left out and dirty linen everywhere no wonder this place has bugs. In the hotel lobby the staff was smoking and playing poker any time I passed. Every time we left the hotel and came back our room key wouldn't work. We would have to go to the front desk to have it reactivated and one time we had to do it twice, what a drag. I do not recommend this place at all, don't waste your money.
the place is in an apartment so it is hard to get there even if it is a very central building. The personnel working there was ok nothing special, maybe a bit below. For taking a shower it was an heroic matter because you had to struggle between the wc and the basin.
House keeping (I assume) had left the door ajar so when I arrived back to the room later that night my initial thoughts were that I had been robbed.
I'm not sure why Expedia lists Guesthouses or doesn't list them as such as the room was booked through an unpublished rate.

The building the hotel is located is the notorious Chungking Mansions. Though the hotel does its best to compensate this drawback, it still lets people feel unsafe.

Super strategic location with MTR station
Water heater is bad, hot water will change to COLD water while bathing.
During going to guesthouse from lift, the lift is occupied with a lot of races of people and some of them are 'scary'.

The location is good near Tsim Sha Zui MTR, but inside the building lots of foreigner feel like a but complicated place. Not suitable for family and Girl alone.
Great location. Great Indian food right downstairs. Rooms are as they appear. For the price and location it's well worth it. Wifi was good. Shower pressure is low. A lot of nice bars walking distance some around the corner and some five blocks up Nathan to Kimberley. American sports bar/food on mody road and mody lane .8 miles away that opens at 8am for all American sports games.

Good location on Nathan road nr shopping+promenade
Hostel accommodation with ensuite bath. Nice tiny room clean and functional. Elevators are overcrowded and can take a very long time to use. Bottom floor is an arcade of small vendors selling food, electronics & everything in between. I liked this but some may find it annoying. I thought it was an excellent value for the location, great for a place to stop on the way from Shenzhen to the HKIA.
Vendors, Vendors, Vendors always attacking you. Want you to buy this or buy that. This happens each and everytime you walk up the outside steps. They must practice the same line, "Watchs, Tailor, Gold".. Hey Boss buy this...
Horrible, Horrible place...
Even before check in the location was very hard to find. The elevators within the building are not easily marked and I had to depend on sellers to point me in the right direction. The check in was not very smooth and the room was not stocked when I arrived. The wifi was also down and remained down for quite some time. Although the staff could do little to appease the sitation, they did not offer any pleasant customer service remarks to make you feel comfortable. My entire stay remained slightly uncomfortable and I was never at ease.
The hotel is not a hotel it is rooms inside a great big building called Chung King Mansion which is home to lots of tenants some are hostels others call themselves hotels and the rest are apartments the building was built in the 1960's and has not been remodeled. Do yourself a favor pay a little more and go to a real hotel. This place should be one star or less.
We are traveling with our nine year old and getting from the street to our room was stressful. The immediate area around the building and the building itself are dirty and very crowded with hawkers and vendors trying to sell you everything and anything. The room was clean. The location is within walking distance to good sights but the positives end there. The building is full of hostels, many on the same floors turning it into a very large box hostel. The two small elevators are dirty, one broke down for a few days. The safe in our room was broken and the hostel guy told us he would replace it. We did not ask him to, he just said he would. He didn't. We asked for help getting a taxi to the airport for 6 am and were told that the red cabs wouldn't take us, we should take a bus. In the end, he did help us but we paid too much for a private cab. Saw a rat on the 16th floor close to the elevator, happily we were on our way to the airport.
