Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were beautiful! So many beautiful pools to swim in and the included breakfast was great. Had all the expected options and we loved the sourdough bread (baked in house). There were a few random fees but none that applied to us! Would have given 5 stars but the only issue was my husband got food poisoning from the room service. Not a great look for a 5 star hotel. They wouldn’t refund us the food and said “if we get other reports of food poisoning then we can refund you” but we had to check out that day. We only ate at the hotel that day so it was clear it was from the hotel.

Excellent hotel right across the street from the beach. The hotel grounds are perfect. This resort has everything you need to make your stay peaceful, romanitc and recharging. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous to your every question and request. I really would highly recommned this resort as a perfect getaway in the Krabi area. I read other reviews from people complaining this hotel is not Right on the beach..... well it is literally across the street to an amazing beach club that your have access to when staying here. It's not an inconvenience at all and the beach here is perfectly peaceful and relaxing. A great vibe from the beach club makes your afternoon just float away. Enjoy Varana and everything they have to offer.

The rooms were nice but we had issues consistently throughout our stay. Rude servers at the beach club who were extremely disrespectful to my 70 year old mother, added fees for absolutely everything (including 1000 baht to use the beach club pool which is operated by the hotel), and a 3 hour wait for food at dinner due to understaffing. Would never stay here again, please support other local businesses instead for better service and value for your money.

I really enjoyed my stays there.The staff was so nice that upgraded us to horizontal ocean room. It looked fabulous. Everything was outstanding from comfort to cleanliness. U should check out their cafe and restaurant called Nook which located in the resort. It was really delicious. Highly recommended if u ever come to Krabi. u wont be regretted !!!

Beautiful resort, close to beach (5min walk). Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food choices onsite limited and expensive. A few offsite food places on the beach were decent. Resort is located in a very small town with limited options. Nearest big town is AoNang about 10 min taxi away. That’s where all the fun is. Better to stay closer to there to have more options and fun choices.

The hotel is not on the beach and does NOT have direct access to it despite claim on it web site and on Expedia including fake photo trying to prove otherwise!!( pics of beach from a business they collaborate with. You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach !! 2) there are no elevators to reach the reception or the breakfast restaurant!! 3) they make you wait when you check out until they have checked the room to make sure you did not take the TV with you ?!! And forcefully tell you to wait “ because that is the procedure “!!! Definitely not a 5 star property and should not be allowed to make false claims as being on the beach !!!

Great hotel

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Varana – a hotel that truly exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was marked by calmness, quality, and exceptional hospitality. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and we felt genuinely well taken care of from beginning to end. The fitness facilities are some of the best I’ve seen at any hotel, and the food was both healthy and delicious. It was especially impressive that much of the food is produced on-site – fresh, local, and sustainable. Breakfast was varied and beautifully presented, with plenty of healthy and tasty options. The pools were clean, beautiful, and relaxing, and the Beach Club connected to the hotel was a cool and stylish spot with a great vibe and high standards. A big thank you to the entire team at Varana

Varana Hotel Krabi has the potential to be a wonderful hotel. However, during my stay there it was evident that the hotel was simply not ready -- not that the hotel rooms are not fully built (they are and they are wonderful), more so the activity areas. Multiple fitness/health areas were still under construction, there were three different schedules for activities that never matched, some of the "fitness courses" were either closed or had not been built, and every activity had an additional fee if you wanted to partake. While I understand that this may be because I visited during the low season, the lack of a "complete" hotel should have been stated. The hotel is just not ready for visitors who want to take advantage of the different offerings that Varana advertises.

Nice quiet location, you are able to relax and not think about work. Food is great on the resort or off the resort. Breakfast is amazing. I had my doubts but a solo half day trip to the outlying is a very good deal and much needed. Great way to see the island at your own pace. It could get crowded with other tourists and having a private boat is nice. Go during off season. It’s not crowded and the vide is very chill. Shout to all the staff and Albert who are patient and want you to have a nice and relaxing time.
