This is a beautiful old mansion converted into a boutique hotel. There are only a few rooms. Most of the first floor is empty public space. (It looks like they are sometimes used for events.) There is no hotel staff on location. You just get a key code. Many rooms have juliet balconies facing the street.

The room was spotless. The location is excellent, the Cathdral across the street and excellent restaurants all around. A few blocks to the malecon and walking distance to bus depot. Chedraui grocery store a Couple of blocks away. Felt very secure in building. And Anna, the manager is a gem - so welcoming and accommodating.

The room was gorgeous very clean. The only thing that was a little bit harsh was there was no elevator. The people are very nice helpful but if you’re strong go for it, we had two big luggage but the place is gorgeous and it has everything and it’s downtown I would stay there again.

Casa Velasco boasts an excellent location, praised for being clean, having spacious rooms, and friendly staff. However, I cannot recommend this hotel due to an extreme noise issue. There is a bar right next door that plays loud music until advanced hours of the night, and the walls are so thin that you can clearly hear neighboring conversations. As a result, I was unable to get any sleep or rest during my stay.
