COZY-TOTALLY RENOVATED RETREAT - OVERLOOKING LAKE JUNALUSKA! LET HOPE ABOUND!

Welcome to LET HOPE ABOUND! Whether you are looking for comfort while on a golf trip with the whole crew, need a place for your family at a local wedding, hikers/skiers & kayakers want a comfy spot to land at the end of the tiring day, or just need a place big enough for the whole family for the holidays and/or family reunions....you have found your spot! We will not bother you with many rules, but one we have to enforce is NO PETS ALLOWED. We do that so that all guests can be comfortable and not be concerned with pet allergies. Thank you for your understanding!

From the moment you walk up the steps and you see the oversized front porch facing Lake Junaluska, you know you are home. As you enter the front door of this newly renovated 100+ year old home, the stone fireplace & gorgeous stairway greets you with warmth & hospitality. The dining room to your right that seats 10 says "I am ready to serve you!" As you pass thru the Butlers Pantry with beverage fridge and glass front cabinets into the gourmet kitchen, you realize you have found the heart of the home. While hosting a wall of windows overlooking the Smokies in the distance, this kitchen can accommodate the best of cooks, as well as the cooking novice. Between the beautiful cabinetry, stainless upscale appliances, including a pot filler, quartz countertops and the gorgeous live edge shelving and center island that seats four, you have plenty of room to cook, create, serve, chat & let those helping you cook, have a drink at island while you steal the show! Off the kitchen is a large deck for grilling and enjoying the view! Thru a short hallway by the staircase, that leads you to an amazing primary suite downstairs, which ensuite includes marble flooring, large double vanity, private water closet, spacious shower and walk-in closet! And, now, finally, you get to climb the gorgeous staircase that leads to an upstairs landing that offers 3 full ensuites and an adorable bunk room for the kids, or kids at heart, with twin beds. Each room has the original windows and views that bring the outside in....

As for outdoor space and fun, as mentioned earlier, there is a deck off the back of the home ready for grilling and sipping. Also there is a firepit area with large rocks for extra seating, but adorondacks for more comfy seating while making your smores. Whether you want to try your hand at tug of war or corn hole, that choice is yours. But enjoying that peaceful view off the back is one of my favorite things to do!

If you want to go for a swim in the community pool, or try your hand at pickle ball or tennis, putt putt or other activities that the Lake Junaluska community has to offer, there is a family pass for 6 that allows all of that free of charge. Canoes and kayaks can be rented as well. Lake Junaluska's Golf Course is right across the street from the main entrance and there are several other golf courses within a few miles away. Go into charming Waynesville and tour some local shops and enjoy the local eateries and ice cream at Kilwins! Maggy Valley is right down the road as well other adorable and quaint towns that offer so much fun for exploring and finding that perfect antique! Lots of options for white water rafting, but don't overlook the Nantahala Outdoor Center - Nantahala River Rafting.

This home was built in 1916 and we are only the second family to own this property. We were honored with the task of bringing laughter, love and hope back to these four walls that were ready for that next phase. This renovation project began in 2022 and it has truly been a labor of love, taken a little longer than expected, but we think the end result has been worth it.
