This charming apartment overlooks the beautiful Horseshoe Bend of the Ohio River. It's a cozy, romantic room for 2 with a separate 3-piece bath and kitchenette. Explore local caves Wyandotte, Marengo and Squire Boone Caverns. Whatever your interests -- your room awaits.
We had a lovely time even though it rained most of our stay. The view from the front of the room out to the river was great. We just pulled up chairs and looked out at the ever changing weather on the riverâ€
The accommodations were great. Very clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Coffee, cream, tea, hot chocolate. So many extra touches. The view of the river was beautiful. We were disappointed when the TV could only be used for DVDs and there was no internet. We would have taken more reading material, games etc had we known this. We stayed 3 nights and would go back. Extremely relaxing.
We used River View as our home base for property hunting and as a birthday getaway. This place has a phenomenal view of the Ohio River. It's 2 minutes to the Overlook Restaurant. We had a foggy morning and we could hear the barges even if we couldn't see them. We really enjoyed our stay.
What a great little place! We came to Southern Indiana for a few days to celebrate my wife's birthday and this made a perfect home base. For the money, you could barely get a decent motel room, let alone a private apartment with a view of the Ohio! You could probably walk to the Overlook Restaurant, which has great food and a spectacular view of the river. We only had a few days, so we went on the French Lick Scenic Train Ride, to Holiday World, enjoyed some great local food and drove up and down the river dreaming about buying a place of our own. If you had more time, you would definitely be close enough to check out any of the many caverns, Corydon, St. Meinrad Archabbey, Tell City, Patoka Lake, Louisville, KY or the outdoorsy offerings of Hoosier National Forest. Melissa was friendly, accommodating and communicated with us very well.
