Ideal overnight stop on Berlin - Copenhagen cycle
Very good hotel and spa situated right on the Berlin - Copenhagen cycle route. Swimming pool for a cooling dip and good restaurant & bar for a meal afterwards. Secure locked garage storage for bicycles

BW Grand City Hotel Liebenwalde - Basic
It is not Best, more 'Eastern' than 'Western', certainly not grand, and nowhere near a city. Even calling it Liebenwalde is a bit of a lie, as it is 4km out of the small German town. Don't believe the pictures of this hotel. The hotel is somewhat run down and in need of a revamp. The location is picturesque, but in the middle of nowhere. If you want a budget hotel in the middle of the countryside with hot and cold running water then this is the place for you. If you want good service and comfort like air conditioning, a double bed that isnt 2 beds put together, and soap in the shower then steer clear, and try somewhere like the Schloss Gut (which I'd thoroughly recommend). Caveat emptor :-)

Zimmer verkommen. Überall kaputte beleuchtung. Sauna mit schimmel. Verschmutzte ruheräume. Sicherheit der Gäste ist egal. In Sauna auch keine alarmsichrrung. Nie wieder

Eine Woche Urlaub im Hotel "Preußischer Hof"
Empfang und einchecken, okay. Guter Frühstückservice. Allerdings, etwas teuer (12,50 € pP). Haus und Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet. Der Preis für die Übernachtung ist verlockend und gut. Allerdings ohne jegliches "Zubehör ". Freie Nutzung für Bad und Sauna! Auf dem Territorium des Hotels befindet sich eine schöne Parkanlage/ Kinderspielplatz und Minigolf. Einiges an Bausubstanz ist renovierungsbedürftig. Das Bad in unseren Zimmer wurde neu gemacht. Die Duschzelle beinhaltete Schwarzschimmel... Die tgl. Reinigung der Zimmer erfolgt oberflächlich. So bereits vor unserem Einzug. (In Schubkästen >Krümel , auf dem Schrank >Staub, >Ablage für Koffer und Reisetasche < Spinnweben in Fensterecken . An manchen Tagen braunes Wasser aus der Leitung. Heizung, Warmwasser, naja... Trotz alledem kann man dort einen schönen Urlaub verbringen. Die auf hohen Preisniveau und nicht sehr umfangreiche Abendkarte lässt sich umgehen mit Besuchen in der Gastronomie in Liebenwalde und Umgebung.

Also das einzige Highlight war der schleussenverkehr der boote vor dem Hotel aber sonst tote Hose man wartet ewig bis die Kellnerin kommt man muss bei idem schönen Wetter im dunklen draußen sitzen oder halt rein gehen sehr Kunden unfreundlich ...Wellnessbereich hatte Urlaub Schwimmbad unsauber

Ostalgie... Zeit für eine Wende. schade. potenzial
Servicepersonal Gastro unterbesetzt aber dennoch bis zum Schweiße bei der Sache. Respekt. Küche gut, hält aber nicht ganz das Niveau was die Karte anbietet. Sollte mal frischer Wind rein. Rezeption wird vom 'alten Schlag' geführt. Peinlich wenn ein Kartenlesegerät große deutsche Banken nicht anerkennt.... Reinigung...!!! Ein NO GO... Die Zimmer sind teils so vernachlässigt das Ostalgie nicht ausreicht... Zahnpastareste im Glas. Fleckige Vorhänge... Schwarzschimmel in der Dusche... Minibar leer.... TV übersteuert streifig. Teppich steht vor Staub. Allergiker haben Milbenalarm. Hängemattenbetten.... Fön gelb verfärbt durch die Jahre.... Putzpersonal legt den Bodenfeudel auf den Stehtischen im Treppenhaus ab... Die uralten doppelten Holzfenster lassen sich wg fehlender Gestänge nicht kippen. Der Lack ist fast vollständig am abblättern.... Der Putz der Fensterlaibungen löst sich... Teils entzeitstimmung... Die Grünfläche mutet eher nach Friedhofswiese als nach belebtem Innenhof an. Der Scharm der Anlage ist eine interessante Mischung aus Heilanstalt, Jugendherberge, Senioren kaffeeausflugslokal mit Charme von Ostalgie der Panzerbetonplatten... Es muss nicht gleich ein 5 Sterne Resort entstehen, aber auch für ein SED Schulungshaus traurig....
