Smaller than expected

Significantly smaller than shown in pictures, including the bed. Breakfast staff worked diligently but could not keep up with the crowd between 0730-0830. There was no elevator so we climbed 4 floors every time. While the front photo is of the courtyard, you will never be in there.

The property is old and dated. No tooth brush or slippers are provided. You can not throw toilet tissue paper in the toilet and there are no lifts. The breakfast is the same every day and the quality is poor. Most of the staff were ok, but they were predominantly not friendly and welcoming. There was a female receptionist that worked during daylight hours at the hotel check in check out, she was rude and very cold. The winning point is the hotel location.

Surprise!

We arrived at night so we could not appreciate the beauty of the hotel, the surprise was the next day, how beautiful, the architecture, the combination of the modern with the past, is a very special corner with a special touch to which we will return. The excellent location, the fantastic breakfast, the cleanliness and the comfort of the room, 100 percent recommended. A very pleasant stay.

Great location, safe.

Location close to ocean views, Larcomar restaurants and parque Kennedy was great. Very safe area. We even tried local buses.

Nice and cozy hotel near the beach and mall.

Walking distance to the beach and larcomar mall. Safe neighborhood. There is no elevator. But bell boy will help you with your suitscase.

The bed was advertised in Expedia as being a pillowtop mattress; however, none of the beds in that hotel are pillow top. The room was kind of dreary with no art and a bit small. Most of the staff could not speak much English. The rooms use an actual key rather than card - those can be copied... And there is no night lock up deadbolt. Otherwise the place is OK, the breakfast buffet was the same each day, but good. There is a nice garden area for al fresco dining or hanging out.

I love the Ducado Hotel in Miraflores.

My neighbor recommended this hotel. He stays there when he visits family in Peru. I am glad I followed his recommendation. Pros: Central location, safe neighborhood, colonial décor, ample terrace overlooking a beautiful interior courtyard, excellent breakfast, attractive, friendly, helpful, competent staff. Cons: No elevator or air conditioning, a few tiny red ants in the room, no signs advising against the drinking of water from the tap, no supply of bottled water.

Nice hotel ,close to parque Kennedy and Larcomar

Overall it was a good experience.The hotel crew was helpful and polite.The rooms were clean. One cool night I tried to raise the temperature of the room but it did not work. During check out about 11:00 pm ,the clerk ask me for my credit card and I hand it to him,and it took him a few minutes to complete the transaction. I ask him to call me a taxi,about half way from the hotel to the airport the clerk calls the taxi driver and informs him that I forgot my credit card. Then the driver wants to charge me Twice the fare. Nevertheless I did have a Good time in Miraflores.

Great stay at Hotel El Ducado

It was a wonderful stay at Hotel El Ducado, surprisingly quiet even with a room facing the main street. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The wi-fi worked great. The breakfast was meager, but you cannot beat the value of this hotel for the price in the Miraflores neighborhood. I'm happy we found this hotel and I would stay again.
