Check-in was smooth, and all staff were friendly and welcoming. Room had beautiful views of Liverpool, and was clean. On the doorstep to loads of restaurants and bars, and shopping centre - we heard no noise from outside, so had a peaceful sleep each night.

We arrived around half 3 and checking was from 3. So we had to wait for our room to be ready and we were told to wait in the bar. Well I certainly wasn't going to buy a drink when we had tea and coffee facilities in our room. So no complementary drink was given . We were also meeting friends at 4 pm so this wasn't ideal.

Hotel was nice and clean, location is good, view of building site not the best, and the £25 overnight parking charge at nearest car park is not good.

Poor communication before and at check in caused more issues than should have been necessary. If staff had been upfront with guests when they were dropping their bags off in the afternoon, people wouldn't have been so frustrated. Once we got into the room, everything was perfect. Lovely room and an excellent breakfast with a bonus of gluten free options.
