This is a beautiful hotel, but what defines it is its service. Like anything of good quality in this world it comes down to care and attention, and The Gore does this very well. Thank you to your reception team, night manager, bar staff, restaurant manager in the morning and hotel manager, each of you made this stay... exceptional.

Location! Location! Location! For an overnight stay after an event at the Royal Albert Hall, you can’t beat The Gore for a great location … we can even see the RAH from our bedroom window. The hotel is getting tired - the beds are too soft, the bathroom is old with no mixer taps and a noisy toilet, but for one night it’s okay and far cheaper than anything nearby (because their price premium for overlooking Hyde Park is crazy)!! Overall, great location and affordable price for a small clean room (without breakfast).

كئيب جدا Very gloomy and outdated. It urgently needs an upgrade to the bathroom facilities. Mixing hot and cold water is almost impossible; you cannot even brush your teeth comfortably because the water is either extremely hot or extremely cold. There is no proper way to mix the two, except by using a cup, as if you had gone back to the 16th century. The room lighting is very poorly designed, and the bathroom mirror is also inadequate.

We paid £278 for a “cozy” room. They don’t tell you they also add a 5% service charge when you check out. Our room was poor to be honest. Small double bed, aircon not great and the plumbing was very old and noisy. I don’t think it represented good value for money. I can only assume the high price was to cover the heating costs particularly in the stairwells. Breakfast was excellent and the lounge was very comfortable.

Very Cosy comfortable small Hotel ideally situated for the Royal Albert Hall (2 blocks away) Dinning room personal and tastefully decorated we enjoyed a delicious Breakfast and Lunch . Also a nice bar and lounge to relax in. Stayed on the 5th floor which was accessed by small elevator to the 4th floor then up a flight of stairs.. the room was small also double bed but comfortable.

The bathroom could be upgraded. i.e. walk in shower and mixer taps. I was astonished to be charged a service charge for each nights accommodation and breakfast. £86! Naturally I refused to pay. This was a first for me and I do hope it's not going to be the norm.

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated for Christmas- just like a gracious London home. The staff were great, the room was cosy ( in a good way!) and the breakfast was excellent. Will come back again.
