Sommer Place is walking-distance from restaurants, shopping, and the beach in downtown! Any activities in town: Kite Festival, Rod Run, Loyalty Day Parade can be seen from your window.
There are a lot of things for the kids to do as well! There’s miniature golf and the arcade right in the core area of downtown. Visit the Kite Museum or take a horseback ride on the beach. On Fridays, during the summer, you can check out the Farmers' Market across the street at the Veterans Field. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and, of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve.
There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, antique shops, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Leadbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.
