Neighborhood
Huertas is known as the 'Barrio de las Letras', where the most important writers of the Golden Age of Spanish literature lived in the 17th century: Lope de Vega, Cervantes, CalderĂłn de la Barca and Tirso de Molina. Cortes was their place of inspiration, writing and representation of their work. You will immediately notice the architectural elegance of the neighborhood, in a walk that transports us to another era. The streets leading from Plaza de Santa Ana are lined with tapas bars, restaurants and places to have a drink. Every first Saturday of the month, the Frog's Market takes place in the streets of the neighborhood, with vendors from the area (including designers, vintage clothing, antiques...)
How to move
The location of the apartment allows you to visit the city of Madrid without having to use our public transport network. Actually, in less than 15 minutes, you can reach on foot the main museums of the city (Prado, Reina SofĂa and Thyssen Bornemisza), the Retiro park, Gran VĂa and its neoclassical architecture, the Rastro, La LatinaâŠetc. But in any case, the closest metro stops (AntĂłn MartĂn and Atocha) are 500m and 300m away, respectively. Atocha is also easily reached on foot and since it is the main access point to/from the airport, getting to the apartment will be really easy. We are sure that you will have no problem moving around the city from our apartment.
How close is Deluxe Loft By The Prado Museum to the airport?
This apartment is 10.1 mi (22-min drive) away from the Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
We had some issues getting into the apartment. Once we were in it was fine. Easy walk to the park, El Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, Sofia Reina and to the Palacio. Great restaurants etc. I would suggest buying some paper towels or napkins. They only give you one kitchen towel, and one set of bath towels per person. We were there for 11 days, and could have used a few more towels
nice apartment, great location, but...the mattress is badly dished out, the blinds don't block enough light at night, and noise from neighbors thumping around.
great location for museo's, train, whatever! The park behind Prado was a nice surprise...it's big. Even the Mayor Plaza and Palace are easy walks and a chance to explore.
