Villa Venus in Sorrento Coast; comfort and safe living in amazing scenery
Villa Venus sits on a private no-through street, in a quiet location, yet within walking distance from the lovely village of Termini. The villa is self-contained and features ample outdoor spaces, with an impressive panoramic terrace, enjoying a close up view of the island of Capri and amazing panorama over the Bay of Naples. Built on two levels, it is reached by 15 steps from the entrance and parking area. On the upper level is the outdoor living area, comprising a summer kitchenette, with a 4 ring gas stove, sink, fridge and a service bathroom. Also on this level are a wood fired pizza oven and barbecue. The solarium terrace is partly shaded and has a large dining table, sunbeds and lounge chairs. It is possible to organize pizza dinners and aperitifs at sunset using the magnificent terrace inside the villa. 8 more steps lead to the house entrance. The accommodation comprises a living and meals area, separate kitchen, a master bedroom and adjacent twin/double, both opening to a panoramic balcony and a third bedroom, also with views. On the lower level ( 12 steps ) is a rumpus room with a sofa bed, big screen TV, a large dining table for convivial meals, open fireplace and a commercial kitchen. This area is ideal for entertaining in the cooler times of the year. The room is full of light, as it opens to the terrace garden through a big glass sliding door. In this garden area are another wood fired pizza oven, a service bathroom and the pool (above the ground â hexagonal shape, 5 x 4 mt) All rooms in the house, including the rumpus, are air conditioned. Satellite TV and wi-fi internet are available on both floors. The property has covered parking space, electric gates and pedestrian gate. From Villa Venus, you can join the pedestrian tracks connecting every hamlet of the Sorrento Peninsula.
Villa Venus is a beautiful property over 3 floors. The veranda at the top has amazing views of Capri, Vesuvius etc. A great sunbathing area and a perfect dining area under a pergola. The middle floor hosts the three spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a small living and kitchen area. Downstairs has the pool (small but adequate) and the most amazing kitchen and dining area. There is also table football and another bathroom. There are a lot of stairs but this wasnât a problem for us. The villa is about a 10 minute walk from the town square where there is a bar and a couple of good restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend Villa Venus.
This Villa is off the beaten path in a lil' village w/the locals. It's not your typical tourist town.In just 5 minutes you can be up the hill in a lil' village sipping on Cappuccinos & enjoying Croissants w/the locals. Many great lil' restaurants run by locals w/just delicious food, a butcher shop, ceramic shop, grocery store, limoncello store. etc.The public bus picks up throughout the day w/many stops along the way & to many surrounding areas to visit such as Sorrento, Amalfi, Marina & Positano, etc.We just loved going into the busy towns but then retreating to our quite villa & village! It's quiet & peaceful w/just SPECTACULAR views of Capri Island, Napoli & other Islands. If the weather permits, leave the French doors open at night & wake up to the sound of birds singing & a breeze. We cooked in the main kitchen & ate at the table that can seat 30, we also ate out on the pool deck & enjoyed cocktails on the top deck w/the most incredible view! It's just breathtaking & you just say "Praise Jah!"...(Psalm 37:11)Armando the host/owner of the Villa was most helpful!Just a kind soul & ready to assist w/many things like arranging rides for pick up to & from the airport. Replenishing some items in the home & ready to help showing us the local bus schedule & which buses/trains to take to get where we wanted to go.I would go back in a heartbeat & stay in the lil' village & w/Armando again in his Family's lovely home!Thank you for sharing your home w/us!
We had a wonderful time at Villa Venus. The rooftop terrace was our favourite place to hang out and relax on the days we were not sightseeing and to rest at the end of the day to watch the sunset. Our favorite activity was the pizza cooking class with our hosts Maria Rosaria, Nunzio and Armando. We enjoyed walking into Termini to get a cappuccino or tea and a cornetto pastry for breakfast ever morning. We found the best way to see some of the towns like Positano Amalfi and Ravello was to hire a private driver in advance.
Our group included 2 couples and two 24 year old daughters. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Venus. Claudio was a great host and answered all our questions via WhatsApp before our arrival and while we were there. He even arranged our boat tour to Amalfi and Positano. The family lives next door so that came in handy when I accidentally pulled the curtain out of the wall. đŹ The dad was over within minutes and had it fixed in no time. Now about the house: the layout is a bit different and there are a lot of stairs but you get used to it after day 2. Top level is an upper deck with stunning views of the water and Capri. The canopy offered great shade and outdoor furniture was comfortable.
Middle level has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bedrooms. Beds were a bit hard and each bedroom only had 2 hangers, but we figured it out. Showers were nice, great water pressure.
Lower level had a fully equipped kitchen, HUGE dining table. There was a 3rd full bathroom down here which came in handy when hanging by the pool. There was also a pull out bed that our daughter used a couple of nights and she said it was pretty comfortable. Pool is the perfect size for cooling off and we loved that there were 6 lounge chairs. All within walking distance of the house: Bar Simone had great pastries, Eugheneâs was delicious (we went there twice). Noticed Gocce Di Capri up the hill so went to their restaurant too and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend staying at Villa Venus!
This place was, to put it mildly, awesome. My husband did the driving and it has to be said, it takes a special driver to drive in this area-I couldn't do it (he actually enjoyed it once he got into the "mode")-so thankfully he was able to handle it so that we could stay at this amazing place. There are other ways to get to this area other than driving so don't let that make you hesitate to rent this property. Looks exactly like the pictures-view is outstanding-driveway has a gate so you feel safe although I can't imagine not feeling safe there-very peaceful-they had all the amenities we needed-we did the pizza dinner-fabulous-Claudio was an excellent property manager ( we met his parents-lovely people-) he was very knowledgable and had many great suggestions for food and sights. Restaurants in the area were great-better food than I had in Rome-and a few were walkable as well as the village where you could get basics. I would highly recommend this property.
Amazing week in scenic surroundings with the family
Fantastic property with amazing views. Super clean, very well-equipped and spacious house. Grocery, butcher, pharmacy and restaurant within walking distance. Parking possible on property.
We were welcomed by Claudio who was very helpful with useful tips about the house and the area. We hope to return.
Thank you, Claudio, Rosaria and family for allowing us to share this amazing place.
We were so happy to find such a perfect spot. Our host, Claudio was thorough and great to communicate with. The house is located in more remote area, away from busy tourist towns.
Small Town square had what we needed. Great jumping off point for Sorrento and Amalfi coast as long as you don't mind the drive. Highly recommend!
Beautiful views at Massa Lubrensa villa (in Termini)
We were two couples in our 50's and 60's. The check in process with Claudio was seamless. He is extremely attentive and communicates via WhatsApp.
After meeting us at the village and escorting us to the villa, he gave us the full tour of the place and information on excursions and restaurants. His recommendations were right on point.
The villa has three stories - pool on the lowest level next to an enormous kitchen/dining room area-air conditioned. The 2nd story is where the bedrooms are -air conditioned. The 2nd bathroom (shared by the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms) is a little tight but functional. Warning, the shower is difficult to maneuver if you are a broad/larger person. There are other half baths throughout the property which is very convenient. The top floor is for lounging, having happy hour or just gazing at the gorgeous views of Capri, Ischia and environs. Venturing out is a must. Highly recommend Ristorante Nastro D'Oro. And the Eughenes within walking distance from the villa.
The stairs situation was a concern for us as we had people with knee issues. Though the house had stairs, they were pretty easy to manage and not nearly as many steps as other houses we looked at.
The roads in general are very curvy, and narrow. The road to the house is a bit harrowing but you get used to it. This villa, and Claudio made our visit to the Amalfi coast trouble-free. We recommend this villa, for sure. You won't be disappointed.
Our multi generational family settled in for 6 days in Termini. It was sometimes rainy and cold but we made the best of it, exploring the area, cooking and dining out. We spread out in the poolside kitchen and living area. The huge table was great for meals. The view was over the top. Claudio did his best to help us in every way.
