The guest house has been recently renovated throughout and newly furnished. Several antique pieces give the home a historic flavor. A large yard with beautiful landscaping and gardens create a very peaceful setting, making meals on the deck most enjoyable. A hammock or bench provide a lazy place for a book or a nap.
Located in a country setting just minutes from Middletown's miles of beaches (both surf and calm water). Your vacation could include bicycle rides on country roads passing vineyards, farmstands, beaches or a National Wildlife Refuge. Hiking is close by at the shore or in wildlife sanctuaries. Tennis courts and a walking track are directly across the street from your door. Owners live on the property and are available for suggestions regarding local activities.

Great stay in Middletown! Host was great with communications and was friendly and helpful while we were there. Location provided easy access to Newport and the various tourist activities there, and also was convenient to restaurants and stores as needed locally. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Back yard is beautiful and private if you have time to just relax. Would definitely recommend if traveling to the area.

location was perfect - close to everything but still far enough away that it was a nice quiet place to chill. Jack and Deb were the best hosts, gave great local recommendations - yoga on the beach, street festival in town, local seafood joint nearby etc. We had a great time and would def stay there again!

My family spent a wonderful week here. The place is well-appointed, carefully maintained, and remarkably clean — it’s clear that the owners care about the house and making sure guests have a comfortable stay. The location is terrific, a short drive from the beach, bird sanctuary, grocery store, etc. The pictures really don’t do justice to the enormous backyard/garden. And Jack couldn’t have been friendlier or more hospitable. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

Great house and location

Jack was a great host. The home was clean, cozy, spacious, and comfortable. The yard is beautiful and private. Jack checked in with us a couple of times and gave us recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. The area itself is very close to Newport but far enough away from the business. So essentially, it's perfect if that's what you are looking for. We went to two of the local beaches and both were great, soft sand. If I find myself in the area again, I'd consider staying here again.

Wonderful stay!

This is a really great place! The owners (Jack and his wife) live in the house and this 2 br is an addition behind the house. It backs up to a beautiful yard with bird feeders and flowers. Each bedroom had a window AC unit and fan and was very comfortable. Zero complaints! Jack called me prior to my arrival to ensure he was around when we arrived, and checked in that morning. We would all highly recommend this little cute guest house!

Comfortable and quiet stay

Home is a lovely quiet spot away from the bustle of Newport, only a short drive. After busy days of seeing the sites, escape the crowds and relax here. The back porch has a great view of the yard, perfect for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Jack is a terrific host and is happy to provide recommendations for anything you need in the area.
