We stayed at Sandpiper Rest for a week with our two dogs.
We stayed at Sandpiper Rest for a week with our two dogs. It's a lovely property and beautifully clean. It has everything you need, including charging for our EV. The location is great, a walk or short drive to Cresswell Beach which is fantastic (miles of sand for your dogs to run around) and free parking (a smallish car park so get there early). There's a handy local shop, a small Co-Op in the village and near the beach a great family owned ice-cream shop. A dog friendly pub is right on your doorstep, with dog blankets, treats & water. It's a great location for exploring Northumberland and we would definitely book again.

Accommodation was excellent, helpful information and a useful welcome pack on arrival.
Accommodation was excellent, helpful information and a useful welcome pack on arrival. House was immaculately clean with a spacious airy feel and was well furnished and decorated with all the equipment and crockery etc you need for a short break away. Finding the cutlery drawer was a bit of a challenge but we got there. ðƞË⏠Enclosed secure, gravelled garden was great for our 2 dogs. There are outdoor chairs and a table to enjoy the sunshine. Useful touches like outdoor hose at the front door for sandy paws or shoes and a car charger if needed. Beds were fresh and comfortable and towels were great. There was an event on in the garden of the pub on the Saturday with bands playing in the garden but it was finished in the early evening and there was no noise from the pub at any other time. The village is quiet with only a couple of shops but location is good for exploring the local area and there are great beaches for dog walking only a short drive away. We would highly recommend Sandpiper Rest and will look to book again if we are back in the area.
