Summary:
This gorgeous and modern, pet friendly 3 bed/2 bath "A" unit of the duplex can be rented by itself or with the "B" unit to create the perfect getaway for the whole family! With each side providing privacy when needed and the backyard allowing the whole family to come together as well, it can comfortably accommodate up to 10 total guests, 5 in each side. Both units have the option to rent a gas powered golf cart that will take you to the beautiful Garden City beaches, the grocery store and all the delicious local eateries, so you can ditch your car and de-stress in style.
The Space:
Unit A, just fully remodeled in 2023, boasts a primary suite with a king bed, smart tv and private en suite bath. There is an open plan living room with super plush leather recliners with USB outlets and a 55" smart tv, a fully equipped and modern kitchen with granite counter tops and a dining table and additional bar seating for up to 4. Two (2) additional bedrooms are the kids bunk room with a full bed on the bottom and twin on top and the third bedroom with a full sized bed. The 2nd bathroom will comfortably accommodate the rest of the family. Don't forget the fully covered and large front porch and extended back deck with dining to enjoy your coffee in the morning or happy hour after beach time!
Guest Access:
The whole home and driveway for up to 2 vehicles on each side of the duplex are yours to enjoy. Entry is by keypad lock and code will be provided 48 hours prior to check in.
The Neighborhood:
Located on Yaupon Ave, on the East side of Hwy 17 and just a short golf cart ride across the marsh to the spectacular Garden City Beaches, you will find our duplex in a quiet neighborhood, just enough away from the noise and bustle of the more crowded properties closer to the beach. You will find 3 grocery stores within 10 minutes of the location as well as several fantastic local restaurants and the Murrells Inlet Marsh walk within 10 minutes or less. Garden City Beach is known for being family friendly with a laid back pace of life. Come see why guests return here every year for their annual beach getaway!
Getting Around:
Just 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach International Airport, you can easily get anywhere on the South Strand in about 10 minutes and the beach is less than 5 minutes away by golf cart and even closer by car. We highly recommend renting our gas powered golf cart for your stay and using it to get around almost everywhere! It is $65/day for the 4-seater and $75/day for the 6-seater. Gas is included. This feature can be added in your guest portal after booking!
Other Things to Note:
For your stay, we provide linens, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. The kitchen is equipped with essential supplies like a roll of paper towels, hand soaps, and 2 dishwasher and 2 laundry pods and the bathrooms are stocked with two rolls of toiler paper each. which are all included in the "cleaning fee". Don't forget to bring your own beach and pool towels. Taxes are not included in the nightly rate.
To ensure a safe and smooth stay for all guests, we use a secure guest portal that includes your rental agreement, local recommendations, and access to any upsells that may be available to you. As part of this process, the portal does ask for a copy of a valid photo ID for verification and liability purposes. For your safety, the link to the portal is sent directly through the platformâs message thread.

Great communication and house was very clean. Primary bed was very comfortable. We did use the second and third bedroom. Neighborhood was quiet and close to the Marsh which was convenient for us. We took a small dog and fenced in backyard was great for her. I was surprised about the additional 150 fee for the pet after we booked but maybe thatâs standard for vbro but would have been nice to know upfront. Overall the stay was great and we would definitely book again.
This property was PERFECT for our little family beach getaway! The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog who loves to play fetch. The house was gorgeous and had lots of comfort amenities. The golf cart rental was great as well. Nice neighbors in a quiet little neighborhood that is SO close to the beach! Not a single complaint to be had. Wished we could stay forever!
The home is clean and updated and a good set up for four people. Great location & easy access. Very secure property with fenced back yard. We highly recommend the golf cart! A few notes to the owner, there is no kitchen table or stools for the high side table, the seating in the living room is limited to four people based on the type of couches selected, the ceiling fan and the vent at the bunkbeds in the back bedroom should probably be adjusted (or beds turned/changed). And adding an outdoor shower, outback or front hose spray Spicket to remove sand from the beach would be great.
We enjoyed our stay at Seashell Paws Retreat. The home was as described, clean and well furnished. The location was great. Close enough to the beach to walk, or short drive(a golf cart is available to rent). The back yard had a very nice privacy fence and was well maintained. The host was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
