village realty is quite possibly the worst rental agency i have rented from. we had multiple problems with out house (peer paradise) in the first 24hrs. Starting off, they did not let us check in until three hrs after the agreed checking time. Within the first 24hrs the washing machine was setup incorrectly and flooded the second floor , ants & roaches in the kitchen, WiFi/ internet did not work, and village realty did not leave any bedding in the house (dropped it off 24hrs after we arrived) so my two young children, pregnant wife, and 85 year old mother/ father in law slept with towells as blankets the first night. i proceeded to call / email/ text village realty all week to rectify the situation and they finally called me back a week later. when i asked for compensation for the first night they gave me a measly 100 back. This company/ rental agency is terrible and i would not recommend anyone rent from them, god forbid you have a problem it wont be fixed and you wont get any refunds. In terms of the house itself: Pros: on the beach with beautiful views Cons: the beds are very old and could certainly use updating. Ants/ cockroaches in the kitchen, and the property is managed by village realty who has an absolute nightmare to deal with. I will not be renting from them again
The house was nice although the beds in the rooms were misrepresented. The listing said that one of the rooms had 2 kings, that did not exist. We had 4-16 year old girls that were going to share that room who ended up sharing a room with 1 queen. About an hour before we were to check in, we received a call to inform us that the refrigerator wasn't working. They said that the homeowner was going to have a new one delivered and they were bringing 2 small ones for us to use temporarily. They put one upstairs where the kitchen is and the other one was down 3 flights of stairs to the bottom of the house. We cooperated as we thought they were going to replace the actual refrigerator. We had a house full and had planned meals. We couldn't go grocery shopping as we had no where to put the food. We still had stuff in coolers. I called every day and basically got the run around blaming the homeowner. They finally told us on about the 4th morning that they were bringing a full size loaner refrigerator. We came home and there was no refrigerator that we could tell. Finally one of us went down under the house and there it was, outside, still down 3 flights of stairs. We were promised some sort of compensation but I have called 3 times since we got home on April 2nd and still have not been told anything. Every time I call I am told "I see the notes here. The manager has been busy and will call you soon." The last time I called I was told that he would call me right back. Nothing yet!
