Dog-friendly holiday accommodation cottage in Nethy Bridge in the heart of the Cairngorm Nation Park. This cottage has recently refurbished (2016) and the detached 2-bedroom bungalow is in a perfect basecamp for exploring the Cairngorm National Park and surrounding the area. Bowlins is a detached bungalow with private fenced garden.

The lounge/ dining area consists of 2 x 2-seater settees plus an armchair. A TV with DVD & Now TV box, log burner with a guard, DAB radio, dining table for 4. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob & oven, washer/ drier, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetière. The first bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers, clothes hanger rail, en suite shower room. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, 2 single beds, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, clothes hanger rail. The family bathroom has a bath with shower, wash hand basin and WC. The outside consists of a driveway suitable for 2 cars, large fenced garden with a smaller secure area for dogs. Patio table and chairs.

Guests have access to the entire property. Prior to your arrival, we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. There is a small convenience store within 100 metres of the house. There are other shops in Grantown on Spey and a Tesco supermarket in Aviemore. There is a local hotel with a restaurant and bar open to non-residents and newly open Nethy Cafe. Aviemore amenities are within a 20-minute drive from the property. A car is recommended when staying in the Highlands (especially when staying in Nethy Bridge). Taxis run 24 hours of the day. No smoking. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.

Fantastic base to explore the Cairngorms
Bowlins is a truly wonderful holiday cottage (coming from people who have stayed in loads of them over the years!) It is warm and comfortable, equipped with everything you could need for your stay, and in an ideal location to explore the Cairngorms. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

Bowlins cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bowlins. It was very comfortable and well equipped as well being having an excellent location. We did have a problem with hot water but the owner very quickly helped us sort that out.

Only downside is lack of storage space. Television has mind of its own but when on holiday in Nethy Bridge something you can live with

Sunny Cairngorms
Fantastic week of mountain biking based at Bowlins in Nethy Bridge. Excellent location and very comfortable accommodation. Bowlins had everything we needed including a very secure garage for bikes. We had fabulous weather which no doubt helped but the property and the village are highly recommended to anyone wishing to explore the area.
