I saw the reviews for this property after I had already booked it, and saw many comments about the cleanliness that had me concerned. I thought I'd share my two cents about the rooms for some clarity. The rooms themselves were very dated, the bathroom seemed to have been remodeled recently, but everything else felt like it was from the 80's or 90's. There were a few spots where the wallpaper was peeling, the towels were fraying pretty badly, and the carpet DID have some old stains. However, the room itself was very clean. The bedsheets were new (although the pillows were pretty flat), and despite the carpet stains it did seem to be clean. It also shared a parking lot with a really good Italian restaurant, which was handy, and it's a 5-10 minute walk away from the falls. Considering this place was half the price of anywhere else, I was happy.

What I liked: The price was affordable and reasonable. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly. What I did not like: There is a smell that was unpleasant when we arrived, so I aired out the room by opening the door. The staff say it was a cleaning agent, but I don't think so. My kids could not smell anything, but I have always had a hightened sense of smell, and there was something lingering, for sure. The heater is crackling and popping intermittently throughout the night; however, once we fell asleep, it was not an issue and my kids had no issue with it. It was creepy sometimes hearing these strange noises from the heater/furnace. Lastly, the shower/water was only warm, not hot and I love hot showers! Overall, I would do it again because I wanted to save money while just getting a place that was clean and affordable in a good area.
