Despite the small population, the port city of Ostend is very lively and full of entertainment. It is located only 35 km from the Dutch border. It is a good idea to visit the Kursaal in the evening, after a nice day at the beach, where you will find entertainment, variety and excitement in the concert hall, restaurant and great casino. In Oostende there are excellent shopping opportunities, such as in the famous Chapel Street. Some cultural treasures, including the open-air museum Atlantikwall, the museum ship Amandine, the church of St. Peter and Paul, Fort Napoleon and the former, royal summer residence, are definitely worth a visit. With your children you can visit the indoor playground.



During your stay you can also visit the nearby towns of Bredene, De Haan and De Panne. Ostend offers a varied vacation, this apartment provides you with an excellent base for this. The apartment is also ideal if you are looking for accommodation near the popular Afro Caribbean Festival, which is held annually in August in Bredene, not far from Ostend.
