Costa Rican life! Beautiful Oceanfront with Pool!

Experience private Costa Rican beachfront life at our Esterillos Oeste home. The home contains a total of 6 BEDROOMS, 5 BATHS consisting of a second floor suite with kitchenette, large bathroom, private covered balcony with pool and ocean views, four master suites with private baths, and a 2 bedroom adjoining suite with bathroom. There is an additional 1/2 bath, and outdoor shower poolside. Large separate great room contains kitchen, dining and living area, with indoor and outdoor bar. Large 16’ x 31’ covered terrace on second floor of main house, is a great area to gather for morning yoga sessions, board games, dancing or just hanging out after a day of surfing, fishing or nature excursions. Relax poolside as the Scarlet Macaws dine in the almond trees surrounding the property and pelicans fly low over the surf, listen to the waves, and soak up the sun.
Cancellations: In spite of our "No Cancellation Policy," we will give a FULL refund, if you cancel and we are able to rebook the dates. If we are able to rebook some of the dates, we will refund you for those dates. In the case of travel restrictions, that results in airport closure (as was the case with Covid), we will give a full refund of all money paid.

Amazing property and location

We loved our stay at the house! The location on the beach in Esterillos oueste cannot be beat and the beautiful pool is the icing on the cake. We loved the outdoor living afforded by the rancho and outdoor dining and living area. One thing to note just for other families with young children is that the bedroom with the king bed is stand alone and does not connect to the other rooms internally. We were able to figure out an arrangement with our kids by bringing a portable bed and only using two of the rooms, but something to mention that we didn’t realize when booking. Wouldn’t change a thing though - we had a fabulous time!

A wonderful stay!

My family had a great time at this property. It is truly outdoor living. We are a family of 6 - 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 girls-4 and 7 years old. The place is rustic but the outdoor area is beautiful. And the beach is just on the other side of the gate. Lorenzo, who looks after the place recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby. We ate there twice. I really loved the beach and the community. It was so peaceful there. We had fresh coconut from the palm trees right by the property. We all loved the place. Some items to note are the bedrooms lack light. As well,there was something wrong with the frig. Sometimes the door would not close. At other times it would. Also it did not eally cool our food in the frig. Maybe a new frig is required. We had to throw out the milk since it went sour within 2 days in the frig. We made a number of meals in the kitchen which had all the utensils and pots and pans we needed. Lorenzo is right there to help with tours or any issues. We has 8 wonderful days there.

If you’re a surfer into great waves on a super beach, a wonderful pool and yard, macaws and iguanas and friendly people, read no further. Just book it. However, the house itself is in need of a lot of repair. The rooms are cave-dark, no natural light and inadequate lamps. The seating part of the rancho is fine, good views and usually a terrific breeze. The cooking side is pretty primitive, with some sort of wood dust (termites?) falling on everything. Adequate dishes and cookware. The manager, Lorenzo is terrific, but owners need to invest in maintenance and overall appearance of this house. The neighborhood is small but friendly. We found several good restaurants and markets within a few minutes drive.

Immersion in Paradise

Everything about our experience at Los Pelicanos was absolutely a 5! From all of our pre arrival contacts with our host, Nancy and her son, Sean, the responsiveness and helpful hospitality given us by Lorenzo, the site manager, the delicious meal and wonderful last evening conversation, provided by next door neighbor, Macha, the local pets, including Macha’s horse, the location, the beach, the sunset all contributed to this experience of a lifetime! What a gift!

A little rough but great location

The location of this property is great it you want to be on the beach with quick access to the surf. We had both the front house and the back house. Lorenzo, the onsite property manager was awesome (not sure if it was indicated anywhere that the manager is onsite with you), but in my opinion the accuracy of the reviews of the property and the listing is not correct. The beds were clean and comfortable, AC was good, pool was excellent, but other than that most of the property is dated. The kitchen is outside as it was listed, so I would expect it to be a little rough, however we found a live roach in the silverware upon opening up the cabinets. Again its an outside kitchen so bugs are to be expected but the covers for the silverware either did not fit the cases or had holes in them so roaches and other bugs could get in. Inside most cabinets were dirty so we just washed everything we needed to use. The plumbing and showers were also to be expected to be a little rough. We had no hot water the first night but Lorenzo got it quickly working the next day (Tripped breaker) but my one shower in the last single room and bathroom was useless. I was barely able to shower and I thought everyone had the same problem but on the last day I showered in a different bathroom and discovered that my shower was the worst of the all of them, oh well. Many of the bulbs on the property were out and the lighting in the bedrooms was very dark. The bedrooms need brighter lighting.

Wonderful place

We stayed at this beautiful and unique home for 8 days. My family loved the pool and the proximity to the ocean - just steps away! Lorenzo was wonderful, and extremely prompt. Laura came to the home for massages on two days- highly recommend! A few minor hiccups were addressed promptly by Lorenzo (power, water, and microwave). All issues were minor, and to be expected staying outside of a major resort/ area. We would recommend this house for anyone (like us) wanting to escape the touristy hotspots. Thanks so much for everything!

Parrita Paradise

Sweet little place (plenty of room for 2 adults with children) located on a rural, romantic, beautiful beach. We rented their big house, too, so 8 adults spent a fantastic week at this very special location. Wildlife is abundant, as are the kind, generous, and helpful locals. Walking distance to 2 little markets with abundant supplies. Local restaurants are walkable and GOOD. Not to be missed: ask Nancy and Lorenzo to connect you with Christian who will secure transportation, adventures, and even prepare delicious meals for you. This concierge treatment is unbeatable for both price and value! And, the lady across the driveway entrance can also cook for you- outstanding authentic Costa Rica cuisine. Sunsets and sunrises are among the most stunning we have ever witnessed. The tides provide excellent rock adventures (low tide) and fabulous swimming and surfing (high tide). Avid walkers, we spotted dozens of Macaws, monkeys, and more natural wonders. So grateful to Nancy and Lorenzo for sharing this piece of paradise with us.

Fantastic beach front

We enjoyed our stay at this beach property. The proximity to the beach and the pool was amazing. I would have given it a 4 star because of some issues with the AC but having Christian and Lorenzo to help us made up for the AC issues. They worked quickly to get someone to fix the ceiling fan and get extra fans there which helped! Christian and Lorenzo made our stay wonderful. Christian was so helpful helping us set up tours and activities and helping us with any needs we had and Lorenzo was always around when we needed him for anything we needed with the property. They also cooked us a fantastic meal with entertainment!! We had lots of visitors including neighborhood dogs, cats, cows, a horse, a Costa Rican squirrel, and crabs which we loved. We also saw 14 Macaws in a tree in the back yard one day! So cool!

Rancho Living at the Beach

Very nice property with direct access to the beach. We had daily visitors from the neighborhood dogs (which we named and fed of course!) and a horse who enjoyed eating the plants in our garden. The mango tree was loaded with fruit and we were able to eat some of it, alas the bananas were not ripe enough while we were there. The power went out a few times, but not enough to be a problem for one member of our party who needed to work. There were lots of interesting birds to watch, however the parrots never stopped to allow us a good look at them.

Fishing for my 50th

I stayed solo in the apartment and it’s just as clean and nice. The house is the sleeping area and is super comfy. The outdoor kitchen was clean and easy to use, once we turned the gas on. đŸ§đŸ€ŁđŸ˜‚ the host was perfect and immediately helped us. The beach

. Just go and enjoy it! The only bummer was we got “stood up” by William 4 days and Cesar 2 days. We fished 5/12 trips that I booked. thanks to a great property and enough fish caught we thoroughly enjoyed making ceviche every day poolside! Everyone one thanks you!

Fabulous

A little piece of paradise. Right on the beach, which is gorgeous with very few people - mostly locals. Sand and surf, huge flocks of pelicans and numerous scarlet macaws flying around. The pool is wonderful and the bedrooms comfortable. Onsite management was great and very responsive. The only thing that is potentially problematic is that the outdoor kitchen has heavy wooden "shutters" that swing upwards and must be hooked up into place. This is not easy to do - not terribly difficult for us, but they are heavy and the hooks can be tricky. They have to be closed at night and then re-opened in the morning everyday. But we loved it! Really a gem.

Everything we were looking for.

The property was just about perfect. The bedrooms were nicely decorated. The bed (we only used one) was very comfortable. The tv (in bedroom 2) looked to be more than adequate-although we did not watch tv all week. The outdoor kitchen was just modern enough to be easy to use. Best of all the beach is literally a stone's throw away and a nice pool is right out the front door. We LOVED it!

el lugar cĂłmodo, linda propiedad, totalmente equipada, con el mar al frente, la piscina limpia, chicos y grandes lo disfrutamos, contacto con la naturaleza, la playa muy limpia, el mar delicioso. Recomendado para familias. Puntos a mejorar: La privacidad se pueden ver las propiedades de al lado Hay goteras en toda la propiedad, es una lastima cuando llueve se mojan muebles y los cielos rasos que son de madera. Wonderful oceanfront pool home!

We totally loved this home, it's location to the ocean with the bit of privacy from the beach with the palms was perfect, also a nice place to take a book and enjoy the ocean breeze. Check in with Filipe was pleasant and he messaged us frequently to make sure all was okay, we had one ceiling fan that needed to be replaced and it was done in a timely fashion. It was cool to see the Iguana's eating right beside the pool and the birds that would visit were entertaining too (except the rooster before sunrise, that would probably be the only complaint, he's up early). I know the 'no toilet tissue in the toilets' had some of us worried that we might screw up but it didn't end up being a big deal, just a learning curve, no clogged toilets and we just kept up on discarding the garbage bags regularly. Would totally rent this home again!

Great family vacation

We had an awesome time at Esterillos. House was just right for our family of four. Pool was awesome. Location was perfect, nice beach just steps from the house and the area had a nice low key vibe.

Beautiful property and perfect location!

From the minute we arrived we were delighted. The pictures were accurate but could not share the beauty of the property, location and hospitality. Iguanas, green parrots, macaws and hermit crabs are part of your daily view. The ocean is right outside the gate with palm trees to shade you if you want to sit a bit. (Look up before you sit down because you don’t want to sit under a coconut) Surfers are abundant at high tide and tide pools are aplenty at low tide. The residents are kind and friendly. The local restaurants serve delicious fresh fish and tasty pizza. A quick walk will land you at one of three restaurants or the local convenience store. You can walk the beach either direction for miles. Jungle tours, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, zip lining, jungle hiking, waterfall climbing and so much more are within a fairly short drive. The ranchero and kitchen were more than adequate and a wonderful place to hang out and do a little cooking. The beds were comfortable, we had no plumbing issues, there were many chairs for sitting outside. We really enjoyed the pool and took several dips everyday. The outdoor shower was just what we needed to rinse off from the beach. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and happily recommend this property. I have to add that the manager, Felipe, was terrific. He was available if we had questions and also happy to arrange activities. He added that extra comfort you want in a foreign country. We used Zuma Car Rental in Jaco. They were excellent! They met us at the airport and provided a return trip, that made getting to our destination so simple!! The cars (we had two) were safe, clean and ran well. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with wonderful and kind citizens. We always felt safe and were treated kindly. It’s just lovely, enjoy!

IDEAL LOCATION, PROPERTY NEEDS SOME WORK

We loved the location, right on the beach as advertised. The house was nice, with one part a two bedroom & bath, the other separate part a spacious one bedroom & bath. Air conditioning OK, plumbing a mess. Had to take the lid off the toilet to get a full flush and Mexican style paper in the trash basket. Outside shower broken. Outside kitchen good and well supplied with crockery and pots and pans, but awkward, heavy and dangerous shutters that one must open to get much light in room. Danny, the property manager very helpful and most pleasant. While it seems as if we had lots of complaints (plumbing should really work for the price we paid) we really loved the place, and I would rent it again.
