Beautiful mountain farmhouse with pool & panoramic views
Enjoy our generously sized farmhouse, with marble floors, large rooms and tall ceilings ... perfect for keeping cool in the hot Sardinian summer. We have upgraded the original house to modern standards, with a luxury granite topped kitchen, a large sundeck with incredible views over the mountains to the sea, and a salt water chlorinated swimming pool for your exclusive use. Includes internet access and DVD player.
The bedrooms all have modern comfortable beds - two with large doubles, and one with two singles - and we have carefully chosen both modern and period furniture to enhance the character of the rooms, whilst ensuring plenty of storage for guests.
The bathroom has a granite basin worktop, large mirror, wc, bidet and bath with a shower.
In the old farmyard we have inherited a number of lovely old trees - olive trees, fruit trees and nut trees, and we are in the process of renewal, a process which will take a number of years to mature but in which we intend to bring out the inherent beauty of the location, with large exposed boulders and locally sourced planting.

So beautiful in Spring

Restful holiday!!
Villa Mimosa is the perfect place for a restful holiday. The villa is very comfortable and spacious, the views are fantastic, the local support staff an absolute delight, and the terrace and garden are simply stunning! This was our first trip to Sardinia, and we found that the villa was an ideal base from which to explore both the coastline around the northern part of the island, and the mountains and lakes!!

Memories to last a lifetime..Villa Mimosa - you are wonderful....
We are a family of five, two teenage boys and nine year old girl
Arriving late at night, I was a little worried about driving from Olbia through the mountain roads in the dark. The directions in the manual were fabulous and we found Villa Mimosa with no problems and as promised the porch light was left on for us which helped find her in the dark.
As soon as we arrived, we felt at home. The welcome bottle of wine and water in the fridge were also a lovely surprise after our delayed journey.
We had no idea of the surroundings until waking early the following morning and stepping out onto the veranda to see the sun rising over the magnificent views of the mountains. This took our breath away.
The farmhouse is spacious and airy and the week we stayed we had temperatures over 42 degrees each day! The house stayed cool inside even in these temperatures.
The DVDs, books and CD collection are a fabulous addition too. The kitchen is wonderful, large, spacious and equipped with everything we needed to make lovely Italian fare each evening.
The bedrooms were again huge, high ceilings, wonderfully large wardrobes, comfortable large beds, decorated beautifully with mixture of modern and restored furniture. Living room is beautifully furnished and had magnificent views from the windows too.
The garden is fantastic and beautifully planted with herbs and fruit, olive trees and grape vines.
We had one issue with no hot water during our stay but this was resolved straight away by ourselves after following Robin's clear instructions in the manual. And to be honest a cold shower after a day of 42 degree heat was welcome!
The house is located in a beautiful part of Sardinia and we spent our week travelling around the North. Valledoria and the beaches of the north only being a 30-40 minute drive away. We also visited Stintino, Bosa (Beautiful!), San Teodoro & La Cinta, Sassari, Alghero old town, Castelsardo, Lake Coghinas to name a few and after each day exploring, Villa Mimosa was a wonderful retreat to return to.
The skies at night are amazing from the deck and we were rewarded with three shooting stars during an evenings stargazing. Although remote (which we loved) you are only a few minutes drive from Perfugas with a good supermarket for provisions.
Robin & Elaine are fantastic hosts from first enquiry through the stay. You can really feel the love they have put into Villa Mimosa and we all left this place feeling inspired and with memories we will treasure.

Remote but beautiful.
A beautiful property that has everything you need for a "get away from it all" escape. The weather for our stay was a very hot 35 degrees ( for us British anyway! ) but there was plenty of shade and sun on the large deck, also a large fridge freezer for storage of cold drinks and food. The views and sunsets were amazing and will be with us for years to come.

Alles in allem eines unserer schönsten Ferienhäuser ever!
Alles so schön großzügig und mit viel Liebe und Geschmack zum Detail. Darüber hinaus waren wir begeistert von der phantastischen und super hübschen Küche - voll ausgestattet (Brot backen? Eis machen - kein Problem ;))
Und dann diese Terasse mit dem herrlichen Blick bis zum Meer - die köstlichen Weintrauben wuchsen uns direkt in die grinsenden Münder!
Feigen, Äpfel, vielfältige Pflanzen im lauschigen Garten - Schönes, wohin man auch blickt. Und steigt einem das alles zu Kopf - ab in den Pool :)
Elaine und Robin sind äusserst umsichtige Gastgeber: das Manual ließ keine Fragen übrig und die Willkommens-Getränke im Kühlschrank waren köstlich!

Tolle Tage in Perfugas
Wir hatten im Mai 2019 eine wunderbare Woche in diesem schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es fehlt an nichts, egal ob Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Küchenausstattung, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine.... im Kühlschrank stand Wasser und Wein bereit für einen gelungenen Empfang. Tolles Haus mit wunderschönem Garten in ruhiger Lage, was will man mehr.

een week in Sardinie
tijdens ons verblijf was het winderig, weinig zon en regenachtig.
Het huis is niet voorzien op verblijf tijdens kille dagen. Ik vermoed super bij echt warm weer. De zon kan nergens door de ruiten schijnen en het groot terras is volledig aan de noordkant van het huis. In huis was het bijgevolg kil en vochtig, niet aangenaam. Ook geen centrale verwarming.

Majestic Villa; but the owners are highly indifferent when the Villa plumbing breaks ... again!
Our family of four (plus English pointer dog) rented Villa Mimosa for three weeks in the month of July 2017.
Points in favour:
1) The Villa is located in a secluded, safe and very private location away from tourist areas and enjoys majestically wonderful views all around.
2) The Villa is very clean (although the oven can do with a good scrubbing) and all rooms including the bathroom are neat and tidy. It is very well equipped and furnished with all the required internal and external furniture including a fully functional barbeque which is excellent. The kitchen is large and very well equipped and there is everything one would require to cook his own, even elaborate, meals (the kitchen knives need sharpening though). The Villa is bright and airy, exactly as seen in the agency photos.
3) The villa gardens are wonderfully kept and the herb garden provides the right relaxing ambience. The back and front porch of the Villa practically provided a comfortable and shaded area any time of the day. The car can be parked safely inside the Villa grounds.
4) Close by one can drive a few minutes to Coghinas Lake which provides very pleasing walks. The towns of Sassari, Aggius and Tempio Pausania are just a short drive away.
Points Against:
1) The Villa is located less than six metres away from an arterial road (Strada Provinciale) and in the very early morning, and sometimes in the dead of the night, one is abruptly awoken by the noise of heavy vehicles, trucks and bikes revving all the way uphill.
2) During our stay the boiler stopped working for a weekend and our family had to endure a whole weekend washing using the ice cold water from the cistern. The boiler was repaired after three days.
3) At our second week the water pump in the house stopped working altogether and we ended without a drop of water in the Villa, thereby the bathrooms and toilet were out of use. We desperately contacted Robin who regretfully was completely oblivious to our hopeless situation; he replied that he may attend in five, or more, hours and informed us that we will not be able to contact him because his mobile battery was low! Nevertheless, after frantically sending several SMS to both Robin and Elaine they finally agreed to come to the Villa, which they did, in two hours. The problem was resolved after eight hours of undue discomfort and stress for all our family; certainly not the five star service we had paid for!
