Expected better, photos are miss-leading

We were both looking forward to staying here. The open bathroom looked amazing on the photos and the modern room was just what we needed. However, neither lived up to expectations. The outside bathroom has been covered up by an awful blue plastic sheet, giving you an odd shading inside the bathroom and making it super humid. There was also a continued problem with large ants. They do provide flip-flops so you don’t stand on them bare feet. I kept having you check the toilet as they hide on the underside of the seat. The room was absolutely filthy. The walls have ants/bugs in all the corners, cobwebs, general miss-match paint. I dropped my sunglasses on the floor and happened to check under the bed. Wow, just wow. Don’t think it had been cleaned since it opened. The location is really good, aircon was good but the bed, Christ.. I think a wooden board would have been just as comfy. Overall, I would give this 6/10 purely for the location. Another quick mention, the WiFi was rubbish.

Would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a reasonably priced room! The owner is super nice and helpful, the room is spacious and the beds and pillows are some of the most comfortable I've come across in Vietnam. During our stay the Air Con stopped working, but this was quickly sorted by the owner. We also asked for a late check-out, which was no issue whatsoever. The hotel is approx. a 6 min walk to the beach and on the way the there's lots of breakfast spots available (good to know since the hotel doesn't serve breakfast). Might be good to know that the bathroom wall isn't fully closed, thus there's some wildlife coming in. We had some pretty big lizards popping by. However, the bathroom door is sealed properly, preventing said wildlife from entering the bedroom. Might also be good to know that the reception isn't open all the time, as the owner has another job, if you are in need of assistance, the cleaner can assist you in contacting the owner. All in all, I'd stay there again.
