Gem house in the Pittsburgh suburbs
Enjoy a stylish and peaceful experience, just a short drive from downtown. This renovated house is immaculately clean and offers super comfortable beds. You`ll benefit from off-street parking **steep driveway. The house is located 6 miles (15 minutes) from downtown and 5 miles (10 minutes) from Southside flats. Stairs are essential to enter the house and access the bathroom and bedrooms - all of which are upstairs! And best of all there`s no cleaning chore list to worry about!
The main floor has a kitchen, large dining room, & living room. The second floor has a full bathroom and a King bedroom and a Queen bedroom. The third floor is a king bedroom with office space.

Overall it is a quiet neighborhood.
The neighborhood boasts of numerous parklet playgrounds, the Carnegie Library of Carrick, historic Phillips Park (comprising walking paths, a disc golf course, a recreation center and swimming pool) and Volunteers Field (comprising a baseball-only field and a multipurpose athletic field). Carrick is also the home to Emma Lazarus Sensory Garden, where the Columbia of Carrick mural by Brian Gonnella is located.
In 1997, Carrick was named the first `Cool Community` in the northern United States by the U.S. Department of Energy. `Cool Community` is a national recognition program for strategic treeplanting for energy conservation purposes. Partnering with conservation organizations, community groups worked to weatherize homes and businesses, plant trees and flowers, and add elements of `green building` to the renovation of Carrick High School.
You could Uber or use the bus line, but I recommend having your own vehicle.
The house was clean and well kept. Overall it was a 5 star stay, just a few little things we noticed. The stairs to the basement are a concussion machine if you're not used to ducking (I'm 5'6) and the stairs to the property have a lip at the top that's hard to see in the snow. Hosts provided labeled spots for items which is nice and provided many items for use around the house. They were communicative throughout the whole process and even allowed us to extend our stay when we needed to. Our cats even liked the house, despite a lot of things (stairs, ceiling fans, etc) being new to our one cat.
