Waterfront Cottage on Private Lake with Dock

Our neighbors are starting a remodel of their house. Phase 1 is the removal of trees and the installation of a septic tank during the spring and summer of 2025. Phase 2 is the demolition of the old home starting September 2025. The construction of the new home will start in the fall of 2025. I do not know the completion date. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Nestled between oaks and pines along the East-facing shoreline of Big Sandy Pond, our welcoming little cottage beckons the vacation experience, a perfect spot to relax during the summer. Spend your days kayaking, sailing, fishing, or water skiing from your own private dock on the lake. Swim in the crystal clear lake at the beautiful white sand neighborhood beach a mere two-minute walk away.

The 134-acre lake is managed as a catchable trout pond and is annually stocked in the spring and fall with Brook, Brown, and Rainbow trout. Just 15 minutes from Cape Cod and historic Plymouth and only 45 minutes from Boston and Providence, a myriad of activities await you and your family.

Whether you enjoy water sports, or like to golf, shop, eat, or visit the many nearby historic sites and museums, everyone will find something special at Big Sandy Cottage.

Fully furnished cottage with two bedrooms, sleeping loft, and one bath. Sleeps four in the bedrooms, up to two small kids in the loft, and two additional adults on the living room sofa bed.

Large 10' x 30' deck overlooking the lake is perfect for an afternoon barbecue. Large private dock extends 28' into the lake with a 8' x 16' swim platform

Free Wireless Internet, TV, DVD (with movie library), stereo, provisioned kitchen, and all linens are included.

There is even a basement storage room with laundry facilities. Off street parking with room for boat trailer is available.

Big Sandy Pond trip

We spent the week here and absolutely loved it! The lake was so peaceful and the cottage had everything we needed! Jeff was attentive to our questions and promptly had the grill taken care of when it wasn’t working. Our adult daughters joined us for a few days and also loved the stay. Cute Lake House

Lovely place to stay for a few days! Lots of games and jigsaw puzzles for older kids/adults. Many beautiful sunrises and sunsets viewed from deck. We had an issue with the water being black/iron smell, notified owners with quick response. Plenty of “extras” available throughout house so just had to buy food. Beds very comfortable! Close to historic Plymouth Center & Cape Cod. Small but quaint. All in all kids loved it.

Lovely getaway

My husband and I had a lovely autumn getaway. The cottage is really pretty and cozy situated directly on the lake. Views were beautiful and everything was clean and welcoming. There was even some champagne for us in the fridge. The owner was very responsive to any questions I had. We would stay here again.

Family getaway

Absolutely gorgeous cottage by the lake. It was perfect for our family of 6 that doesn’t want to rent 2 hotel rooms with a view of nothing special. Definitely felt like a family cottage rather than just a rental property.

Quite, serene & clean

Beautiful perch overlooking Big Sandy Pond. All the amenities necessary at hand including a well maintained gas grill. Was pleased to have an adequate and very quiet A/C system during one of the warmer weeks of the early summer season. Owner was quickly responsive to some initial day one questions. Dock at the waters edge in great shape. Only missing wished for extra, would have been a canoe or any means to float upon the pond. All in all a great overall cottage, setting & stay!

Great Getaway

Perfect sized cottage overlooking beautiful pond. Owner was very responsive to questions and easy to work with. We came on a rainy/cold 4 day weekend so didn’t get to enjoy anything but the view. The property is clean and updated. Would definitely recommend and return.

Great Lake house

This was a great lake house for our family to stay in. It seems much bigger than the description says it is. We had 4 adults and 2 kids under 10. All the trees around it made it feel very private. Back deck was perfect for lake views. It’s close to downtown Plymouth, Plymouth Patuext and whale watching. Fishing off the dock was super fun. The water is crystal clear and pretty warm, the kids swam all the time. House was fully stocked with all you'd need. Take advantage of the great weber gas grill while you are there.
