Southern Wave! Beachfront, Pet Friendly Fenced Yard, Paradise!

This BEACHFRONT beauty has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a large 1200 square foot deck. It comfortably sleeps 12. The living and kitchen area are wide open with bright, unobstructed views of the ocean. The kitchen has beautiful custom wood cabinets and comes furnished with all the appliances, dishware and glassware you will need. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and large bathroom with a glass-entry shower and soaking tub. The guest room has two queen size beds with views of the ocean. The bunk room has 2 twin over full bunk beds. All rooms have flat-screen smart TV's with satellite cable. The large deck has plenty of lounge chairs. (Watching the sunrise and stargazing is our favorite thing to do) The deck is gated to keep your kids and pets safe from the stairs. The downstairs area is fully fenced and features a custom bar with ample seating and an outdoor shower. There is also a charcoal grill and fish cleaning/prep table. It is a perfect place to entertain or just hang out with the family. The yard and downstairs areas are fully fenced for the safety of children and pets. Linens and towels are provided with the house and our cleaning service keeps the place spotless! The house has both ethernet connection and WiFi. External security cameras monitor the property. Located in the heart of Crystal Beach so you are only a couple minutes from stores and restaurants. Fido doesn’t have to stay at home because we are pet friendly, with payment of the non-refundable pet fee!

The property was spacious and clean with an exceptionally stocked kitchen. The deck is huge and the the yard being fenced with a gate directly to the beach was beyond the perfect set up for me and the dog.I spent most of my weekend either on the beach or on the deck!

Wonderful staycation!

Loved this house for a family/pet friendly getaway. The yard was wonderful and the private beach access was the icing on the cake. The owner is very open to communication and accommodating as long as you ask her! Parking was very easy and kitchen gadgets are plentiful. The kids AND adults loved the arcade game machine. Good luck beating those top scores!

We love, love, love the house and the deck.We were not pleased with the cleanliness. There was food stains and spills in the cabinets and drawers. The blenders had to be washed before using. I only say this to let you know your cleaners are not doing a good job. They just need more attention to detail. I do understand that if people put them in the cabinet dirty, the crew does not look for dirty dishes in cabinets. I do not like to complain, but if it was mine, I would want to know.I hope my husband and I can make it back again. I don’t ever have to leave the deck!! Awesome. Thank you for letting us stay there. Beachfront Beauty

Southern Wave is a perfect rental for anyone who wants to be on the beach with family and friends

and family dogs. The house itself is very comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you would need. The fenced in yard is a bonus not many homes have. The “icing on the cake” was the large covered deck with plenty of seating

perfect for morning coffee and afternoon wine.

The house is incredible, very well equipped and comfortable. We cooked in most evenings and found everything we needed to complete our meals. The owners were very responsive and clearly identified all the information about the house. We will gladly stay there again.

Great Home and Location

Southern Wave is an excellent home on Crystal Beach. The home is clean and maintained nicely. The fenced yard and dog-friendly are an added bonus. The Wi-Fi internet works great, and there are lots of games available. If there was a complaint, it is that the DirecTv package does not include ESPN, but that isn't that big of a deal as we brought our own Apple TV with our streaming apps to watch the basketball games.

Beach House Escape 2025

The property is beautiful. It is right on the beach. It has a fenced in yard. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you could ever need. The beds are comfy. The wraparound porch is wonderful. It is located near a great restaurant and big store. We would stay in this home again.

Mid-Winter Getaway

This was our third trip to the Southern Wave and it’s still the perfect spot for a mid-winter getaway. Everything is as we remember it - comfy house, great deck and seating to enjoy watching the beach and the water, easy and direct access to the beach for walks, well appointed and stocked kitchen and a securely fenced yard for our pups. We spent lots of time sitting on the deck and we especially appreciate the gate to the stairs that allows us to keep our dogs from running downstairs without us. It’s nice to have access to our own streaming services on the TV to be able to watch things we particularly wanted to see. Monica is super-responsive, although we had no issues while we were there. After three trips here, could there be a fourth? Quite possibly...

Beautiful house/location!

Everything within human control was perfect!! Unfortunately, south Texas was hit with terrible storms and the peninsula was without power. Our host reached out to us before we even arrived and continually communicated with updates. We were very sad that power was not restored and our vacation had to be cancelled. We received a refund within days. I would highly recommend using VRBO and this host!
