Perfect for your beach holiday, you are only a stone's throw to the Port Fairy East Beach
East Beach Units represent the ultimate offering in Port Fairy's budget accommodation. Situated only a stone's throw to East Beach surfing haven and a 5 minute leisurely stroll into the town centre you cannot do better for location and price.
Unit 6 is situated on the first floor, with its own parking space at the back of the building as well as spaces at the front. There are 2 bedrooms, the master with a queen and the second bedroom contains 2 singles and a top bunk bed - please see images for the layout. There are pedestal fans in the bedrooms and each Unit has its own bathroom with shower.
There is an open plan kitchen and living room. The kitchen contains a full oven, stove top, microwave, fridge as well as utensils for your holiday cooking. The living room offers a comfortable lounge with TV and DVD as well as complimentary WiFi and electric heating to keep you toasty warm in winter.
There is a guest laundry which includes washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. Outside there is an undercover shared BBQ area, while you cook up dinner the kids can make use of the basketball court yard with ring to work up their appetite (if your day on the beach hasn't quite done the job!)
Across the road from the East Beach Fish and Chip shop, perfect for Friday night's dinner or when the kids are ravenous after a morning on the beach. If you are in need of a morning coffee head over the road to Charlie's On East and enjoy a brew as you listen to the waves roll onto the sand. Send the kids out with their surf boards and you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast while keeping an eye on them.
Every holiday apartment is comfortable and welcoming and we value our satisfied repeat clientele.
Booked online through Wotif. What I wasnât prepared for was being inundated with emails and a phone call from the property.
First was the Wotif confirmation (as expected), then an email from the property, then an email from VRBO confirming the booking, followed up by a phone call that they were sending an online registration that I needed to complete, followed up by 5 more emails from the property and then finally one more email from the property the day before checkout reminding me of the rules and timelines surrounding checkout. That was one email from Wotif, one email from VRBO, one phone call from the property and seven emails from the property, all for a two night stay!
Checkin and check out was contactless. It seemed everywhere you turned there were notices about the rules surrounding garbage and recycling doâs and dontâs, reminders to double check for items left in the room, ensuring dishes and appliances were cleaned, ensuring lights and appliances were turned off, etc. etc. Most of these were under the veiled threat of feeâs being assessed if things werenât done as required.
The actual unit was basic accommodation with basic furnishings. Couches were in need of cleaning and a couple of the kitchen chairs had loose legs (one was missing a screw and was unsafe to sit on). The window ledge above the toilet hasnât seen a dust cloth in quite some time.
On the plus side, Port Fairy is a wonderful little
Town with great restaurants and vibe.
Very nice unit, only about a kilometer from the town centre. The unit is equipped with almost everything you need. There is an electric blanket on the bed, however is missing a heater in the bedroom. There also needs to be a electric socket near the kitchen table. I needed to do some work on my laptop and had to sit in the floor and work on the coffee table as thatâs the only place i could find a nearby electrical socket. That said, I would definitely stay here again.
