1895 Chapel in a Vintage Church
This is a newly renovated beautiful church building space with high ceilings, open spacious rooms with beautiful decor, water views, and gorgeous stained glass windows. It's a wonderful space for a getaway.
We stayed at this gem while visiting our son and family for Christmas. The place was amazing. My husband and I were both so impressed with how large and yet cozy the space was, and the bar downstairs had the best breakfast! The lighting made it a little challenging to work on a puzzle, and it was a little chilly, but the chill was expected for December in an old church with high ceilings. We figured as much and brough warmer layers. It wasn't cold, just not warm. Short walk to the waterfront with a path that runs right along the water. We had a nice dinner across the way at the Boat Shed in Bremerton, and great pizza at DamnFine Pizza. Great coffee at Coffee Oasis, and the people at the shops were all so friendly. We loved it, and hope to stay here the next time we visit the kids.
What an interesting place to rest your heads! Love the history of the church. And a restaurant with craft cocktails in the church basement- how convenient!
Clean and comfortable. But would be more comfortable with better air conditioning in a heat wave.
Dont expect your usual vacation rental. This is a truly unique place. We loved it! Somethings to be aware of: there are steps between thw bedrooms and the bathroom. This may be a problem for some especially at night. And the bedrooms are curtained off, not walled off. None of this was a problem for us and we comfortable and delighted with the space.
A true refurbed church, whimsically restored. We had a very comfortable stay. Above a restaurant so very convenient and within walking distance to Port Orchard shops.
I really enjoyed this property! I loved the history of the place and seeing how it was converted to a living space. Sueanne was very responsive if I ran out of anything. The only thing I found a little challenging was the dim lighting, as I wanted to do puzzles on the big table. The bedrooms were not private, which I didn't recognize from the description and pictures, so you'd want to share it with someone you didn't need real privacy from at night.
A group of women from church stayed here to do a weekend Bible study. Lots of space to hang out, nice neighborhood to walk around in and some shops just down the street.
