The staff were highly professional and attentive to making our stay enjoyable and worry free, ahead of, during our stay, and as we continued our holiday elsewhere. The combination of an idealistic location and a fitting accommodation to meet the beauty of that picturesque locale overlooking the Douro River and the Dom Luis I bridge. My wife and I loved this hotel, and the busy areas in the daytime became a quiet sanctuary with seemingly private views in the night for our February stay. The hotels style is a perfect blend of rustic aged beauty, with modern touches. Loved!

The location of this hotel is simply incredible! It is right on the river. We had a room facing the river with a wall of windows and the views are breathtaking. We also had lunch and drinks outside at their bar and loved it. The staff was also very helpful and arranged our transportation from and back to the airport.

We loved everything about our stay. The location is unbeatable, and the entire property is spotless. Our one-bedroom suite was huge, immaculate, and filled with natural light — plus it was incredibly quiet, which made it easy to relax. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept so well.
