The first room we were assigned to had hornets and beetles and the toilet was not flushing. The second room had beetles and was extremely dirty. The trash was full, there were clumps of hair, someone had broken a necklace/bracelet and the beads were still on the carpet, and the scoop for the ice machine had black mold on it. The website listed a billard room and an arcade, which was removed two years ago. The biggest issue was that I paid for a full breakfast—22.00 and the breakfast was either a microwave burrito or a microwave sandwich which you had to pick up at the front desk. I know it was off season and part of our stay was Christmas Day, but I was disappointed.

Peaceful and enjoyable

Spent most our time by the pool. There were 3 different ones to choose from. In the evening, watched the football game in the bar and grill area. Very nice overall.

A gem - that needs a little love.

Really hesitant to leave a review like this. I can tell they are trying. It's a gem. They spent money on the pools. That's the ONLY place they spent the money. This place is waaaayyyyy overdue for a remodel. The rooms are like being in a 1980 Motel 6. No space, no real amenities in the rooms. There is no padding on the carpet, which turns your feet black. Old appliances that are yellowed with age. The small fridge sits on a desk. Doors are thin so you can hear every footstep of people in halls. The place is a winding maze too. It just needs a little TLC. So don't spend time in the room. The people are nice. They do care. But it just needs an investment. And what they have done with the indoor pool and hot tub - that's great! This place could be amazing with a few TLC adjustments to the rooms.

The property was relaxing and we liked the pools. The old window AC units were dated and ours was louder than it should have been under normal running conditions. This did not make “sleeping in “ in the morning possible. The dinner we had Thursday evening was underwhelming. Our server was excellent, but the entrees were not what I would call” resort level” . The shrimp scampi was swimming in butter and I could not taste any garlic. It was also in a small bowl, not a platter size for a dinner entree. You can do better for the prices you are charging. City folks no the difference : )
