Welcome to the Shambly-La, where we aim for a Shangri-La experience (an imaginary, beautiful place, often far away, where everything is pleasant and you can get everything you want) but everything is just a touch Shambly (in the best and most inviting way possible). The Shambly is a very cozy, colourful and quirky Prince Edward County getaway destination. Situated perfectly on a quiet street in Picton Proper - walking distance to all the picturesque town has to offer (restaurants, shops, parks...). We absolutely LOVE it here and hope you and yours have a lovely time too.
The Space:
The Shambly-La is adorned from head to toe with colourful and carefully curated decor from exciting travels and trinket stores to create an intriguing, welcoming and laid back feeling for our guests. Flip through coffee table books, admire artwork from days spent out West, make yourself a drink in cocktail glasses from our 1908 Charleston Lake Dance Hall... There is much to explore at the Shambly as well as many outdoor spaces to relax when you're home from exploring the County: front porch, back upper deck, large lower deck and a lengthy backyard! So many options to enjoy Prince Edward County's most beautiful season... SUMMER!

Great stay
We were so impressed with the cleanliness upon our arrival. The hosts left us a very nice welcome card and a bottle of wine. The personal touches didn’t go unnoticed! We normally rent a cottage in Cherry valley every year for the last ten years but we weren’t able to do that this year and are actually very thankful it worked out that way. It made us realize staying here offered alot more than the other rental. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck, and being able to walk into town. The owners were very kind and quick to get back to us if we had any questions. Would 100% recommend! This was our favourite vacation after 10 years of visiting the PEC and can’t wait to rent this place again next year
