Reservations via Expedia was extremely unprofessional. Left us stranded at PC Airport on Xmas eve.(prepaid for 11 mos). Had to find our own way. We had booked 3 rooms for a family Xmas and tried to be located together. It was booked 11 mos in advance but nobody would commit at Expedia. Calls and emails to hotel directly for 11 mos went unanswered. Upon checkin we were told no go!. Hotel workers were extremely hard working with a smile. Management not to interested. This was our 3rd trip to excellence PC. And 5th trip in total to Excellence . No hot water for a shower early or late for almost every day. Nothing addressed. Food was ok , but well below the standard previously experienced, especially in other excellences Beach was top notch as per usual. Beach service was spotty and inconsistent. This use to be our favourite? We will take a break from Excellence going forward and will never book via Expedia again!

Everything we expected and more. This was our second stay at Excellence Punta Canna. Our room was amazing, staff are welcoming, and a great selection of dining. We spoiled and a had a private patio with a pool and probably wont be able to come back without it!

Our housekeeper, mini bar guy and all the staff were incredible. Malvin at the Mexican restaurant was incredible. So great, we went there twice! Definitely a lovely stay.

Unfortunately I found there was a design fail with the air conditioning in the rooms and it simply recirculated the damp air from the bathroom making the rooms damp and moldy, both my wife and I left the holiday with a chest infection, the hotel was informed and we were initially moved but the problem existed in the second room. We have been offered a “complimentary upgrade” but the T & C make this nearly impossible so I believe this to be a hollow gesture. The food servings were small at best, I know it’s an all inclusive resort but we found we were ordering 2 main meals each to get a full plate of food, some may say this sounds glutinous but we are not excessive eaters

We have been doing family vacations for the last 5 years in the DR. This all inclusive resort was the best one by far we have been to, especially being part of the excellence club. The food is absolutely amazing at the restaurants. The staff is so nice. It was so calm and peaceful. Only comment I would say is about the housekeeping, it was not the cleanest. Other than that, everything else was excellent. We will definitely be back!
