Outstanding staff - professional, polite and welcoming. The hotel is in a wonderful location, a short walk from some of the best restaurants in Durham. The hotel lobby which serves as a dining area was packed on the holiday. Very clean, comfortable rooms; locally sourced toiletries and plenty of hot water. Five stars across the board and we look forward to our next stay.

The hotel was extremely expensive and was just average. I was very underwhelmed. I had to pay a $100 per night deposit which I did not expect. It has been returned but it was an unexpected expense at the time. Parking is paid parking in a parking deck

We stayed here for NYE/New Year's Day, and the front desk team was incredible. They were personable, energetic, responsive, and kind. The Suite is a great choice for a stay--it's spacious and perfectly situated in the hotel. What a great place to close out 2025 and ring in 2026!

Simple amenities seemed to be missed here. Small terrible coffee was served in the lobby for free but if you wanted to pay a great coffee bar and breakfast lunch is served in the lobby. Was also not allowed to sit in the huge lobby with outside food. Even though I spent 4 nights there and ate at the coffee bar several times. There should be some place to sit with your own food like every other hotel. You have to fill out a slip each night to get coffee delivered to your room each day. Why not just have some coffee in your room. No microwave, vending machine or ice machine in this hotel. Was forced to switch rooms after first night due to cleaning schedule. One shower had barely any water pressure, 2nd room had heavy painful water pressure. Grout in first shower was very dirty. Was definitely not worth the price. Location was one of the main reasons I stayed here due to it’s proximity to relatives and walkability.

Hotel in a great location and staff was great. Rooms clean etc. However, they have a lot of events going on during stay that limit access to various areas during stay. Roof top bar was closed for private party but we didn’t know until we went to access. The coffee bar area was closed so there was no place to relax with a cocktail in the hotel after a long day. The rooftop bartender did bring us drinks in the lobby area for the inconvenience but by then they were vacuuming around our feet. We booked based on location and roof top and disappointed access wasn’t available nor was it posted in advance of our stay.

What a wonderful stay! The valet at checkin was extremely courteous and helpful with our bags as we checked in. The front desk gave us great dinner recommendations within walking distance. The coffee bar made excellent drinks for after dinner, and we had coffee bean service arrive by our door in the morning. We definitely chose the right place for our stay.

I was disappointed with the lackluster rooms and lack of room amenities (if you like minimalist, this is your place) for the amount we paid. To the hotel’s credit, I did see pictures on the website so I don’t know what I expected. The lobby was fantastic. I loved the floor to ceiling windows that allowed lots of light to come into the space. And, the assortment of board games was a nice touch. When I booked the room, I missed that we could have gotten a senior discount and so I asked for it upon check in, but to no avail. We were told credits could not be given once we had paid. I guess I felt penalized for paying up front. I think it would have been a nice touch (made us feel really appreciated) to go ahead and credit us. It also listed on the booking that we would each get a free drink (2) and we had to firmly request this at the bar. It wasn’t much of a problem after we explained, but the servers seemed confused about why we didn’t have a token?!? One server charged us and said we would get credited upon check out. I was a bit skeptical since we had been told payments already made couldn’t be credited but after we asked for it when we checked out, it was expeditiously taken off the bill. Overall, we won’t stay again due to the cost for what you get.

Check-in was terrible. They didn't have the rooms that I reserved and said there was nothing that they could do because they were sold out. Parking is down the block and in a highrise parking lot that might be best described as "sketchy." There is only one elevator in the hotel so the wait is incredibly long -- we ended up getting escorted to the kitchen elevator behind the coffee shop. The bathrooms are quite beat-up with pealing paint around the door bottoms.
