The Space:

Killer ocean views, light & bright, comfy spaces designed for guest comfort! Marvel at the waves, soak in the sea breeze, and get cozy in this beachside gem. Backyard chill-out zone, seating, BBQ fun, 2 cozy suites (1up & 1 main), sleeps 4, well-equipped compact but mighty kitchen, W/D, double oven, 3 min drive to eateries shopping, truly a beach lover's dream! Parking for 2 vehicles, NO pets due to Owner Allergies.

This Ocean side property has immediate walking access to the beach, guests will need to brave the dunes, to get down to the expansive beach, tides permitting of course. NOTE: Depending on the weather you may need to find an alternate route to access the beach. The Oregon Coast weather and tides can change on a dime meaning the dunes can change as well, just know that access to the beach can at times be impeded. Views from the cottage are typically the same, and there for your enjoyment.

Overlooking gorgeous westward ocean views, gulls, and fishing boats. Enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset or have your morning coffee with views of the ocean! Large windows create a warm and open feeling while embracing the views! This thoughtfully updated home is comfortable, bright, clean, and spacious with modern furnishings and amenities creating the perfect Coastal getaway!

Main Level Living area has a comfy couch & accent chair, with pillows and blanket throws to snuggle up on those windy & rainy coastal days. Gorgeous views of the dunes, surrounding vegetation, and a peek-a-boo view of the waves, if your standing, plenty of windows in the living area make it a nice place to relax and take in the scenery! The fireplace is non-functional but there is an Electric fire log to set the mood for relaxation. There is additional seating in the room at the dining table that folds out for up to 4. Large Entertainment center, equipped w/flat screen Smart TV set up for Roku streaming with WIFI, dvd if you want to bring your own favorite movies. Relax and enjoy an evening catching up on your favorite episodes or snuggle in and read a book while watching the sunset. Just steps away from the cottage, is a dune that overlooks the beach with front row seating to watch the sunset. There is a bench on the dune to lean on. If you are feeling adventurous, we provide folding chairs and a wagon you can trek down to the beach. Just know that easy access is not guaranteed, think of it as another adventure among the others you will have in the area.

Modern kitchen carries the coastal vibe and window above the sink allows for bright light to fill the kitchen, when the sun is out of course. This kitchen is small but packed with everything you need to make your own meal, bake cookies, steam crab! The kitchen is equipped with New Stainless Steel appliances, Full size refrigerator, Double oven, microwave oven, and many pots and pans. Bring your own favorite coffee to use in the drip coffee maker or bring Keurig pods to use in the coffee maker, we will supply enough ground coffee to get your started. Provided is everything you need to make eating in efficient and enjoyable! Washing Dishes or Clothes is a breeze there is also a dishwasher and stackable washer & dryer to help keep dishes and clothing clean!

A dining Table with pull out leaf seats up to 4 for intimate meals or a special occasion, located in the living room. Plenty of light pours into the space from the large and numerous windows make the space bright and light allowing for westward view of the dunes.

There are 2 Bedrooms each ENSUITE style, both have their own bathrooms.

BEDROOM #1: The Main Level bedroom features a Comfortable Full-size bed with high quality linens and pillows. This room is small and cozy and there is limited space for guests personal items. Just off the living room you have view of the living space, fireplace and windows. Large windows bring in sunshine and shades can be drawn for privacy.

The En-Suite bathroom has everything one needs to getting ready for a day at the beach or exploring the town. It has a shower and vanity, Quality linens, shampoo-conditioner-bodywash, paper products, and a hairdryer are provided for guests convenience.

BEDROOM #2: ROOM WITH THE VIEWS! The 2nd level Primary Suite, up the stairs, is lofted and open to the stairway. (no door). Here is an open and spacious bedroom with GEORGEOUS VIEWS of the ocean and MULTIPLE windows to let in the light and scenery, a Comfortable Queen bed with high quality Cotton linens and pillows. There is closet space and a dresser for guests personal items. This bedroom also has a ROKU TV for guests enjoyment and a cozy reading chair w/ottoman, nightstand and cozy throws, in front of the windows that face the ocean, cozy up here with a book or just gaze at ocean, watch the seabirds, snuggle in on a chilly night with a hot beverage and listen to the waves. Large windows bring in sunshine and views of the ocean, and numerous sea birds that fly by. Shades can be drawn for privacy.

The En-Suite bathroom is compact and functional with everything you need, stocked with everything you need to freshen up. The room is divided by the tub/shower and there is a vanity space on one side and the toilet is on the other, making the bathroom easy to share! Quality bath linens, shampoo-conditioner-body wash and a hairdryer are provided for guests convenience.

The backyard space has space perfect for being outdoors and enjoying the breeze, barbequing or just taking in the coastal air. Seating for 4. Sliders from the main house open to the space with a BBQ Grill for those nice summer days. This outdoor space is the perfect place to take in sit back and enjoy the coastal air!

The space opens to the walkway that takes you to the dune overlooking the beach, and it’s only steps away!
The property is located just North of Rockaway Beach and City Center. Parking is limited, up to 2 cars parked parallel to the home and not blocking the private drive for the neighbor on the south side. Walk up the driveway and you have an unobstructed view of the ocean, you can see all the way down the coast to Twin Rocks, and up the coast to Neahkahnie Mountain.

BEACH ACCESS: The beach is not always easily accessed as the coastal tides can change the dunes, making it easy or sometimes difficult to get to the beach. You will need to get there by foot, and you have to be a bit adventurous at times. Of course, you can reach the beach from other points but you will need to explore. We provide 4 foldable chairs, cooler, and a wagon to cart your stuff down to the beach. Host favorite is building a fire on the beach, when tide allow of course!

There is a Driveway to the right of the home that should not be blocked as it is the neighbors driveway. There are long term residents in the area and they frequent the dunes so be kind and neighborly.

Unfortunately, we do NOT accept pets due to owner allergies.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home and the private yard, as well as access through the neighboring driveway to the dune.

The Neighborhood:
The House is located in the City of Rockaway Oregon. Rockaway is a coastal town that sits off Hwy 101, Main Highway running North and South and sits between the cities of Tillamook, Pacific & Lincoln city to the South and Manzanita, Seaside & Astoria to the North. It is a popular Summer vacation area with access to the ocean, dunes, Lake Lytle, Manhattan Beach State Recreation Site, and the Rockaway Beach Old Growth Nature Reserve, it is an outdoor adventurer’s dream. Bird watching, deep sea and lake fishing, hiking, canoeing, boating, swimming, off-roading, and camping are among the many activities Rockaway has to offer. Explore, adventure, and experience this one-of-a-kind convergence of nature.

This small town’s strategic location on the Coast reflects Oregon’s diverse terrain. Visitors to Rockaway can experience all of the Great Outdoors in one place. For those seeking outdoor adventure, Rockaway might just have it all: lakes, sand dunes, a large forest, and the ocean. There’s enough to fill months, let alone a weekend getaway. Visit the South Jetty of the Nehalem Bay for crabbing, fishing, bird watching and boat rentals. The kids will love the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad running May-September, Lake Lytle has fun for everyone, known for calm ad shallow waters, great place to kayak with the kids. Get ready to explore the dunes, explore Rockaway’s small town charm, go on endless amounts of hikes, watch for whales, take a walk or just relax — the perfect getaway on the coast!

Getting Around:
A car is necessary. Everything is convenient to the home including grocery stores and restaurants, but just out of walking range. If you are from out of state, we suggest flying into Portland and head west Hwy 6.
