The regular rooms are VERY small/compact (large king bed but wedged between wall and window which had a long counter/desk the length of it) no clothes cupboard just open compact hanging area with shelf above). We were moved to a more spacious “accessible”room that was just fine though the bathroom door was like a shower door (didnt close all the way)all other services of the hotel were wonderful-breakfast, lobby, ease of check in/out, concierge taxi service, location, above all the kindness and professional behavior of the staff.

CitizenM Roma Isola Tiberina delivers a clean, efficient stay, but not much warmth beyond that. The property felt very “chain-like” in style and service: streamlined, standardized, and functional. While everything was tidy and well-kept, the hospitality came across as minimal and fairly average, with little of the personal touch you might expect in Rome. A solid option if cleanliness and predictability are your priorities, but don’t come expecting standout service or a particularly welcoming atmosphere.

Checkin process was long and terribly inefficient; I had to complete everything myself on a tablet at reception, despite the fact that there was a staff member present (who had to help me at various stages). As for the room, it was very clean, although you can only really control everything via a tablet, which was oftentimes slow to respond, and none of the manual light switches were working. The TV didn’t work for the first two days of my stay. There was no coffee machine, glasses, or literally anything else in the room, so very very basic. Won’t be staying here again.
